What weight loss tips works 4 u?

I've been dieting since Nov 2nd 2016. My goal is to lose 100 lbs in a year or close to that. So far I have lost 38 lbs. I want to lose it faster. Any tips or tricks? I'm51 and a brittle diabetic on an insulin pump. Starting weight was 266 and I'm down to 228 now.

Slow weight loss is more likely to stay off than fast weight loss (that was likely due to overly restrictive calories or food choices)3

That is great progress! Slow and steady wins the race-you are making a lifestyle change, not dieting. That is the best thing you can do. If you view what you are doing as "dieting" and have an endpoint, when you reach that you will just regress. Keep up the good work!

What has worked for me is accepting that I'm in this for life, if not, I'll regain as always before - so "fast" is out. Calorie deficit over time = weight loss. Optimal calorie deficit = optimal weight loss. Superficial tips and tricks are out too. Instead, it's lifestyle change, not in the sense of a diet, but a major overhaul of habits, attitudes and food environment.0

Thats amazing progress I started on Nov 1, 2016 and I have only lost 21lbs. I also agree that this is a lifestyle change I can never not count calories again or I will binge binge binge and eat way too many calories0

Tips:
-use a good scale to weigh all solid and semi solid food.
-use cups/spoons for liquids only.
-log everything that you consume, always.
-double check database entires against food packaging and USDA data.
I've done these (no keto!) and have lost 100lbs so far.
You can do it! Don't aim to lose more than 2lbs per week and readjust your calorie goal as you lose weight.2
