Me too! I'm literally tied to the phone and computer all day at work. I've been doing some leg lifts and squats when I can.1
-
I'm also a desk job worker. It's a challenge for me to try to get in at least 10,000 steps a day. Feel free to add!0
-
Desk worker here... I drink lots of water so I get a lot of steps in on my Fitbit from bathroom breaks feel free to add me as well!2

I'm a desk worker too! This is my first week on MFP - working on getting 10Lbs or so off and then will try to tackle the FitBit's 10K steps in. I find myself reaching for the candy jar so absentmindedly its scary. I have to be more conscious of breaking these habits. I feel as though once I sit my butt in the seat my mindset is "what can I eat"0

Man, I feel your pain. That's why I'm on here all the time.1

Me too...Trying to get a workout in after work everyday.0

I definitely want to switch careers. I try to do calf raises, and take some bands with me to work. But the motivation is lacking. I do eat healthy though.0

I am the same way. I try to go for walks on lunch or if I am lucky go to the gym at lunch but that doesn't happen alot. I also park about 1 km away form where I work so I get a bit of a walk to and from my car. Feel free to add me if you wish.

Feel free to add me! Stuck in the office, trying to make sure I get up and walk around whenever possible.0

I'm just gonna go ahead and add you all since i'm an accountant who sits all day lol4

Same here. I walk on the treadmill after work and try to remember to do stairs whenever I have a bathroom break, but all the sitting really saps your energy. Lunch time short walks are a life saver also.0

Would love some motivational office buddies! Being chained to the desk is no fun.0

Same here, well one day a week for me. But at my last job I was working from home for over a year. It was SOOOO boring.

Same! A year ago I switched to this more sedentary job and had put on 8 lbs and already needed to lose 20.
Have been tracking for 10 days and am down 5 lbs. Trying to motivate myself to exercise when I get home but I never feel like it and spend the rest of my day/evening on the couch so I am really not getting enough exercise. I know if I did I would do even better with my weight loss. I just get so lazy0 -

I understand the struggle, as if our bodies has adjusted to just sitting. It's a horrible feeling. I hate trying to force myself to workout instead of the feeling of I need to work out due to, too much energy.

<~~~~~ desk job. Tied to my computer and phone. Really having a hard time right now with my diet and exercise. Always love new friends to motivate1

*raises hand* definitely harder to stay active with a desk job! ugh. i try to walk on all my little breaks, and hit the gym on my lunch... that way, if i don't feel like going after work to, or i'm unable to, it's not as big of a deal!
