My exercise routine, which is twice as long as when I started a month ago, is getting too easy.21

I took some quick measurements this morning while getting ready for work and I'm suspicious of their accuracy because of my haste but if they're right that will be exciting.
as a NSV I had to buy a heavier kettlebell last night because mine was getting too easy for most exercises. AND I bought new running shoes AND a flip belt. Because I'd rather spend my disposable income on fitness things than frivolities.21 -
I have a pair of shorts and a couple skirts that haven't fit me in 12 (!) years, but I kept them in hopes I could eventually wear them again. I made a mini-goal to be able to wear them by June of this year, so on a whim I tried them on this morning to check my progress. One of them actually fit comfortably, and the other two will button if I lose only about another 1/2 inch off my waist. I will definitely be wearing them this summer! For the longest time, I thought that would never happen.30

Wife found a bin of shorts from last year. Checked every one of them and they are all going to charity.
Kinda sucks as some of them were decent shorts.21 -
tried on a winter jacket this morning (getting chilly now) and was surprised that my once very tight sleeves in the upper arm area are pleasantly loose and comfortable to wear...looking forward to the cold for this very reason lol.12

I bought a shirt about a month ago that fit when I tried it on but I had never worn it yet. I decided to wear it today for the first time only to find out that it now swallows me whole. Down side, I'm out $10. Up side, I don't care about the money because I'm seeing progress people!!!27

Did Target just install new mirrors that make you thinner than you really are? I went in to try on some clothes the other day and didn't have that dreadful, "Ugh, I'm so fat." internal dialogue I usually have with myself when I go into the dressing room. Thought maybe they just upped their marketing tactics with new mirrors that make you look thinner than you really are. Did they?21

Yes. It's a conspiracy to make us believe we've all lost weight14 -
This morning I graduated c210k!!! Started in January and finally completed! So freaking happy as my goal was to finish before my holiday next week
Still slow but just need to improve my time now. With healthy eating (mostly from end of Feb) till now, running and walking, I've scorched 10lbs33 -
all the people commenting that sitting is now uncomfortable.....I am there too!! haha sat on cafeteria chair this morning thinking 'why am I so uncomfy?!?! why?'
yay less bum!17 -
For some reason my post above didn't include everything.
Not only is my face so much smaller and my clothes fit better but guys, I've lost my love handles!!!! I kid you not! For the first time since I can remember, my obliques are slim and my waist so small. I still have a lower belly pooch but it is the smallest it's been in years. Running seems to have really helped in this area. I keep running my hands over my waist and sides as it is so small slim and not a lump or bump in sight.
Thanks so much to all on this forum for your continued support as I am now 22lbs from my goal weight of 140lbs which is much better than 52lbs when I first started. Funny last year I got down to 155lbs but was not as fit or toned as I am now. Just goes to show everyday is a work in progress.
Looking forward to scorching more fat!24 -
I have been taking a 2 week trial for cross fit classes and last night I signed up for a 3 month membership, this is so challenging but also very motivating ....I may be one of the oldest there but I am having fun and getting in better shape24

I put on a pair of jeans this morning that I haven't wore in 3+ years! I couldn't get them up past my thighs in January. They actually buttoned fairly easily too
Oh and yesterday a coworker commented on how much weight I have lost and how skinny I am looking. She is a sweet lady that knows I am trying to lose weight, so not sure just how noticeable the weightless is but it made me feel good.24 -
I went grocery shopping this morning and totally left the freshly baked cookies behind! I looked at them, smelled them, then thought, "ehh" and walked away! They're not always a struggle, but today was the first time my body told me what to do, not my brain telling me what to do!23

I bought a new, low size jean last night - men's 36 (down from 46). What's weird for me - I pick up the pants and they just look to small ... like I can't fit in those, and put them on and they fit - but they just look weird to me. And different from 38's to 36's ... there's less belt loops! Or maybe it's switching from Wrangler back to Levi's (Levi's were hard to find >44).26

I was having a pathetic day today. Even made a post about it. The 2 things happened
1. went out for lunch with girls in my office. stuck to my pre-planned, pre-logged meal, inspite of pressure to eat those fantastic smelling flavoured chips.
2. raced a much lighter, much fitter co-worker on my way back and totally ruled it. Wasnt even slightly out of breath while she was huffing and puffing.
I guess it was a good idea reading this link. Made me think about something positive.30 -
I am in a size 12 again for the first time since 1993. While this might not be too huge of a NSV its amazing for me, as I have a mental block (not sure why still trying to figure that out) about the size 14, every time in the past when I got to a 14, I started to self sabotage, and this time wasn't any different, but I was determined to persevere and I did. Its a huge accomplishment for me to make it by that size 14 I actually cried and it was all by accident, just happened to notice my pants sagging in the mirror at work and thought for S&G I would try on my 12s not only did the 12s fit (pants) but I tried on my 12 jeans and they fit as well so I am solidly in a 12. No wonder the 14s looked like I had a load in them. Now on to 10s.51

I squatted 185 lbs!34

Last night thr hubs was coming home from a meeting and stopped by the Gas Station for a drink. Called to ask if I wanted a diet coke. Told him no, but that I'd love a bottled water.
Also, went out to Applebee's last night for dinner before his meeting. I chose a steak and green beans instead of the very fattening choices i used to make. And drank a water with dinner instead of diet coke.
Did much better this week about getting my water in.31 -
I went to the Dr yesterday...last visit was 6 months ago. I have been trying to maintain before I lose any more and I only put on 4.2 lbs not the 7 I thought BUT my A1C is at 5.7 now and he is taking me off Metformin! I'm so excited. Now I'm motivated to lose again so I can get off my high BP meds. I want to thank everyone who posts on this thread because it is so motivating.33

I have lost an entire shoe size!25

Today I hit my 60 day streak for logging in! The NSV is that I'm finally staying consistent and sticking with my plan. I've tried joining gyms and different things in the past, but I've never made it more than a couple of weeks. I've even started C25K about four different times, never even making it to week two, but last night I graduated! I'm now almost half way to my original goal weight, and can't wait to see where this new lifestyle takes me!32

I just graduated c25k last night, and am thinking about moving on to 5k to 10k! I haven't decided yet, because my pace for the 5k is pretty slow (definitely not the 30 minutes the app pushes for), so I can't decide if I should work on pace first, or keep increasing my distance. But congratulations on finishing the program!! That's so awesome!!15 -
I noticed this morning that my shin bones seem to have suddenly popped out. Shaving was an ordeal lol but so worth it for proof that my body is changing! It's so hard to see it in the mirror!14

The back fat fold under my ribs is gone!!29

ooh I forgot this one - lady at the gym who hasn't seen me since before Christmas stopped dead and said 'you've lost so much weight!'
so obviously I got all embarrassed and red faced cos this was in the reception area and didn't know what to say!
'thank you'. 'thank you', was all I needed to say
but yay - 2nd person outside of family to notice!
(am not counting family aka mum as she knows I am trying and I suspects she overstates what she sees to help keep me on track - which I love her for!)28 -

Contemplating going to the gym this morning, been feeling down since the scale hasn't moved in over a month. I've been taking measurements since last month when the scale stopped moving. Decided to measure myself and I've lost over two inches; arms, chest, stomach, hips and legs. Of course I hit the gym today!!!
I read your NSV everyday and they kee me going. Thank you!!!26 -
Under 210 today! The countdown to onderland really starts 10...9...33
