I am stronger than stupid rumors
Still sucks when people make judgments based on things that they have heard through other people who also don't know you
The good people shine through during times of struggle and then are forever appreciated for that

Might I know exactly where you're coming from
I've had several friends who have made attempts to ruin something that I've invested lots of time into building into what it is today and these people are super sweet to my face and are waiting for this to fail, in fact one was emailing me the other day
I wonder why people are so quick to judge and believe others?

    • At almost 50, it doesn't happen much, but I actually have a crush on someone.
    • I am thinking of sweet potato slathered in butter with a little cinnamon sugar on it.
    • I want a convertible.

Truthfully most people don't want what is best for other people
Some use others' failures as a way to build themselves up
It is sick and makes me really sad, but I don't know how to change it

This has been a hard lesson to learn and I'm still learning today
These "friends" I know have told lies about me and my team
Isn't that incredibly sick? What makes someone have such little self esteem to have to make up lies??

    1. I really want to start using the free weights at my gym, but I have no idea how to work any of it
    2. I'm too shy to ask for help with using them
    3. I feel like everyone judges me when I walk over to that section, so I turn around and do my usual routine elsewhere....

    1. You don't demand respect, you deserve respect.
    2. If you constantly talk about having haters, it is most likely cuz you're an a-hole really and nothing to do with jealousy.
    3. Kindness goes a long way.

^^^^ to these very true points I would like to add if I may.

    1 Humility
    2 Can't be bought
    3 And worn on a t-shirt

Find the biggest baddest lifter in the place
    Walk right up to him/her
And ask them politely for a few minutes of their time.

    1. I want to start with weights, too.
    2. The weight bench, bars, and plates have been sitting in my basement collecting dust.
    3. There has to be a video out there that will show me how to use them without breaking myself.

Pick up the book : the new rules of lifting for women

It's on amazon for about $15.00
    And worth every penny.

I use the men's version as a good resource.

    Please

    I lift 6 days a week.

If somebody like you approached me for advice, I would fall all over myself to help you out; I would be honored, I damn sure would.

Yes, youtube is a great place to get lifting advice...tons of how to on all sorts of lifts and programs... Strong lifts 5 x 5 is a great place to get into the habit of lifting (as long as you can manage a 45 lb barbell). if not... work up to it. people using the free weights are pretty non-judgmental...unless they are on the "juice" then... they're pretty much buttheads...BUT you probably know who these dudes are anyway... 5x5 is a great place to start because it is just 5 lifts... Bench press, squats, shoulder press, bent barbell row, deadlift...and there's an app... if you are lifting at home, get a full length mirror so you can check your form and admire yourself as you make all kinds of lifting faces :)

    Some things make me laugh
    Some things crack me up
Some things I find so funny that I have to laugh in threes.

    You're still a meanie.
You're intentionally not answering my question.
    I need a red pen.

Do you have the same friends I have?
We were discussing red pens today
    Isn't that curious
