    Is there anyone from Norfolk, VA or similar that can pull off a tidewater accent? Our Canadian friends would get a kick out of it.

    I lived in the tidewater area (Virginia Beach) for a loooong time. I don't think I could even fake it.
    So you know what I mean, right?

    Four = Foe ah
    Out = Oot

    I understand it's dying off, though. Like the Western NC one my Grandfather and Great Aunt had. We're just too cosmopolitan these days.

    Someone please read this for the sake of Robert Frost:

    The woods are lovely, dark and deep.
    But I have promises to keep.
    And miles to go before I sleep.
    And miles to go before I sleep.

    And do it with feeling.

    I LOVE Robert Frost. <3

    Fire and Ice is my favorite.

    There should be a thread where someone writes the scene, tags a person to act it out via voice. rated E for everyone though.

    I would do that. Can't act, unless looking for someone to play an AM radio host.

    Well I just plant the mind seeds, yall gotta make this idea grow.
    But. . . that's hard.

    It's just odd. But I know exactly what you mean!

    Oh man...I absolutely love this thread, you guys. You can count me in as soon as I get a chance! I have always been so fascinated by the different tones and cadences in people's voices, so this is my new favorite thread EVER...lol.

    On a side note, I did not expect to hear so many Southern voices in here! I currently live in Georgia, so it's obviously pretty common around here - even in a military town - and it runs deep in my husband's side of the family, because he is actually from Georgia. Not sure why I was so surprised to hear it here, lol.

    I wasn't going to tackle that one. Too much of a wuss, I am.

    @opheliaphoenix I just "cain't" pull it off reliably. 'Can't' is the only word.

    Wan't my number at work? Who wants to call me???

    Don't tease... I might actually do it.

    I've called people at work so they could make up a story and go home before.
