Looking for friends who lift. Especially those who find joy in lifting heavy stuff!

Also, friends with more than just a fat loss goal but a fitness goal. I want to be able to run 10 miles easily, do 12 pull-ups, overhead/military/shoulder press my bodyweight (230lbs.) Et cetera, et cetera, et cetera!

Welcome!

That's my girl right there... <3

    I'm 6' - 183lbs (10%ish BF
Run 4 miles nearly every day
Bench 4x 6reps/ea 220lbs (not sure my max)
23 pull ups (not chins) to failure
    62 push ups to failure

I use to weigh about 160lb (actually weighed over 333lbs)... At 160 I was running over 7 miles a day, but couldn't do more than 11 pull ups and my bench was substantially weaker...

Running more again now trying to cut down to around 8%...
Happy to add any and all!

I LIFT!! My goal now is to:

    Break the 100 kg deadlift
Do my first unassisted muscle up
    Squat 80 kg
    Learn unbroken DU
Do 10 hanging pull ups in a row
    Learn to snatch properly
Get the the shoulder stability so I can start adding weight to my OH squats.
Cool! Thanks so much for commenting!

Are you looking for people who lift or friends who lift? If friends, we don't know who your friends are so not sure how we can help you find them. Have your tried facebook?

Looking for people who lift who will become friends that lift, after a friend request is sent.

Ahhh! Ok, that makes more sense.

    I don't lift.

I am currently stuck at 405lbs for deadlifts. I may have reached my limit. But one positive is I am one of the very few in my gym who can do this. However I have seen a few push 50 to 100 over 405. Brute strength.

Yes, those are some nice pull numbers indeed! My last PR was a 400lb. deadlift. Haven't tried since.

I'm not super strong or fit yet -- somewhere in the slightly doughy middle -- so my goals are simple.

I like to lift, but with a trainer or partner. If I go alone I get bored/distracted.

I do have lots of fitness goals. Never been able to run that far or that fast, and I would like to be able to run 5k.

"Slightly doughy middle" haha! Something we have in common, then!

Last week my bench was 315x12, x8, x7
I was wanting to get back into Deadlifting after my second ACL repair was healed, but I might have taken another step back after possibly tearing the quad on my good leg last Saturday while doing Squats. It's always something.

I know something if what that's like- no good!

Lifter here. Goals are strict ohpress body weight and bench 300 right meow. I pulled my groin doing a stupid leg press I've never used before a few weeks ago, so I should be back to squatting and pulling next week at regular intensities.

@JstTheWayIam 23 pull-ups! Mother of pearl!! That's incredible. No kipping... right?

I think training intensity has to rise once you get to around that number for most people. Gotta handle stuff in the 315-365 range to bump that up. You definitely haven't hit your limit.

I had a friend that pulled 405 his first time ever trying deads. Ugh.

Hey, thanks for commenting. I've pulled groin muscles before. Both, and twice. It stinks. Anyhow, that sounds about right!

On the pull ups... 24 was my last max
Had to look up kipping lol... No I don't do that...
I suffered a hernia last week so if I tried now, I'd probably rip my guts out... Lol
