What do you splurge on?

Raspberries. I could live on them quite happily if not for the whole malnutrition thing. At £2 a punnet with a weekly food budget of around £20 they are not something I get often but when on sale or the cheaper farmers market is on, GET IN MY FACE HOLE3

Some people splurge on organic stuff, Alcohol, Chocolate cake. Kitchen gadgets or new clothes..
Ill give an example.
For greek yogurt i have to have one of the most expensive brands. It tastes the same...has same basic macros as cheaper...but the cheaper makes me sick. I also eat cheap dinners of mainly potatoes so i can afford to buy more expensive snacks. (and yummy parfait toppings )
I like pre porrtioned things that tend to be expensive, Like dessert puddings. Or dessert greek yogurt mini cups (ouch on expense) or larabars which are epensive but i love them.. But i find them worth the splurge!
I also consider fresh strawberries this time of year a splurge but i love them so i again eat cheaply wherever possible to buy a tub everytime i shop
Also like to splurge my leftover calories on alcohol (hello many others who also do this on weekends ;D )
Just wondering what things you guys splurge on and why its worth it to you.
Hmmm. Lately I don't really splurge on anything, calorie-wise. I really want to be back in bikini form for summer so I am trying to run a tight ship. However, Halo-top can certainly be a money splurge (unless I get it on sale and I always try to) but it is absolutely worth it to me.
Now, shoes? I definitely splurge on shoes. Not as often as I used to, but when I see something I like, and it is comfortable, I can always seem to find room in my closet for it.0 -
I splurge on latte coffee drinks and black bean burgers1

Money wise: Dogs, we are adding a beautiful pure breed German Shepherd to our pack in 3 weeks, we got first choice. She wasn't cheap, but she will be worth every penny. I'm also saving so I can send my new girl to protection classes, also not cheap... but so worth it. I have a pyscho Ex who is getting out of prison shortly.
Food wise: I love a few m&m's and some sweet tea. I also grab a cookie from time to time.
Glad to see we can still have a little fun. It's all 80/20... 80 clean and 20 fun haha1 -
I also splurge on workout clothes! Love a new pair of sneakers and tights!0
-
Berries, good quality supplements for managing chronic pain, and boatloads of organic produce at Trader Joe's.0

Potato chips and hot dogs are my go to indulgences.0

Popcorn at the movies. With butter. Thankfully I don't go to the movies that much!0

Money - more than one gym, plus classes (I feel it is well worth the money though)
Calories - beer and BBQ Nachos from my favorite bar0 -
Money- bicycles. I have 3, skinny tire, mountain and fat tire for winter. I'm planning on a gravel bike next. My husband doesn't understand different steads for different needs.
calories- really, really good red wine. Not the cheap stuff. Cabernet.1 -
need2belean wrote: »Money wise: Monster sugar free energy drinks. I buy 5 every week for each day during work week. I have one every morning. It's in my routine. I won't by the offbrand rice cakes. They have to be quaker. I won't buy any other icecream but halo top which is usually 2 pints a week (goodbye money). I love fresh salmon. I won't buy the frozen stuff (12.99$ per lb) which is once a week. I only buy a pound if it's on sale or else I just get 8oz and make it last for two dinners. These are all things I buy every weekly grocery round. Oh, and I won't buy any other protein powder except 1st phorm which is about 55$ for a month long supply. Much more expensive than cheap brand options but blends much better.

Still pizza. And I think I may order from my favourite place tonight, but it will last all weekend and I won't be killing a 2 litre of Pepsi along with it.
And if this frikken rain would stop, I'd walk to pick it up.
Side note, Vancouver (not where I live but I am in BC) saw 70 hours of sun for March when the average is 130. No wonder I'm grumpy.1 -
Money wise: BPAL and Bam Box. Perfume and silly collectibles are two things I refuse to give up.
Calories: good chocolate, Halo Top (there are days that entire pint is warranted), wine0 -

OMG Orange Rolls! One of my favorite sweets of ALL TIME! I could eat the entire batch of them. My dad would make them every Sunday when I was a kid. In fact, up until recently I thought the actual name of them was Sunday Goodies because that's what he called them.2 -

I'm super thrifty - like the Queen Bee of discounts (although I refuse to do the couponing thing). That allows me to splurge on many things when the mood strikes.
Money - travel, concerts, spa treatments, grandkids (not necessarily in that order)
Food - wine, cheese and chocolate0 -
Dog food. Don't know if anyone remembers the scandal over the cheap imported dog food from China several years ago...about a decade ago - a bunch of dogs died from melamine poisoning. My dog was one of them. So now I splurge on the highest quality dog food and check labels to make sure I know where all my food is coming from.1
