I'm a huge coffee drinker which I'm trying to cut down but I've been thinking about using sweetner instead of sugar. I've heard from some people it's not good for you but others have said it's not true. Any advice or thoughts?

  • Yes! Try Stevia - it's all natural and comes from the stevia plant. I recently discovered Stevia in the Raw and it's great! No artificial anything. I am a coffee drinker as well and also sprinkle it on baked apples and in unsweetened applesauce with a little cinnamon - great snack!!!

The only "okay" sweetener besides sugar is Stevia/Truvia. It's natural and from a plant. You can get the packets at the grocery store or the liquid form at a health food store.

Stevia is a decent sweetener, though it gives me a faint "bittery" aftertaste.
There is also Xylitol, which clinically helps promote oral health as well.
But if you enjoy a coffee with a dab of sugar, it's only about 15 calories that's you'll burn off on your walk around the grocery store looking for Stevia hehehe
