I've never taken it. Before I had surgery, my period made me higher than a kite, maybe because of the cramps. I didn't believe in using medication in those days. (I've since learned that meds can be a very good thing). I used to do a crazy belly dance/yoga/ballet routine that relieved the worst of them.

When I take midol, I feel shaky, dizzy, and nauseous. I sweat so much and my vision feels a bit off. I never take it because of this, but sometimes when my cramps are killing me I do take it. I hate midol! :s

I tried midol and didn't notice any affect at all. It didn't touch the pain of my cramps. The only thing that worked was 2-4 ibuprofen, and that was just to take the edge off.

I don't really have to take anything for cramps since I went on the pill. I'll still get the occasional cramp, but they're so mild compared to what I used to get that I barely notice.

I've never taken Midol or anything for period cramps. I don't get very bad cramps usually so I just live with it.
I occasionally take generic ibuprofen for headache and other misc pains. It has never made me feel odd.

A quick search reveals multiple formulations. This one has both caffeine and an antihistamine (for water retention, I guess??) Either could make you jittery.
