Cravings/bloating DURING period

I know its common to experience cravings, bloating and weight gain before period but is it also common for this last during as well. Im around 4 or 5 days in and still bloated and hungry. Just trying to work out if i have actually gained weight or i should just relax and wait for my period to finish?

    25. Ive never really paid much attention before as ive never really weighed myself that much. Its just that i have a dress i want to wear to an important event next week. 2 weeks ago it fit perfectly now its too tight around the back and boobs. Was wondering if it might be period related or i if ive just stuffed up eating wise.

Most likely period related. I don't bloat the week before. It's always during and I can carry an additional 3-5 pounds. Should disappear when it's over as long as you are accurately tracking and logging everything.

Yes i have been strictly logging and seeing some progress along with exercise and was feeling really good about myself then bam i get my period and it all turns to you know what! I have been eating 1200 calories with the exeption of one cheat meal and the past few days at maintenance so i was worried i had sabotaged myself

Typically for me it's gone on day 3, but it does last a bit longer occasionally.

It's definitely different for each female. Sometimes, the bloating can last up until a few days after menses ends. If you are confident in your eating, the numbers will drop back down.

I don't have PMS, never have had issues PRE- period it's always while I'm ON my period and I do indeed feel irritable and hungry and bloated. It doesn't stop for me until a few days after it ends.

Currently on the worst day of my cycle, days 2 and 3 are the rough ones. I just power through and practice self care. An extra bottle of water, more mio (water flavoring) than I usually allow myself, eat my snacks with less caution (I usually try to save them for the PM but if I'm hungry I will eat when I'm on my period to avoid unnecessary crankiness), lots of hot baths and slow walks. I take it a little easier on exercise because my energy is usually low, but I stick to my calorie goals and meal plan.
