From all that I have read, early in your weight loss people post 4-6 pounds a week without repercussions? What are the differences?0

It also depends on the total amount of weight you need to lose. It's more possible for an obese person than someone who's only 25lbs overweight. Like the others said, it's not healthy though. 2 pounds per week is considered "healthy" weight loss.0

You asked is it possible to lose 17ish pounds by the 22nd of August. Well, lets see... that would be approximate 30 days from now...I would say it is extremely possible with a lot of dedication, no slip ups...countless time in the gym or doing some kind of work out, total change in the way you eat and will power...but definitely possible. I have the same goal, so I truly understand, just note a lot of people will say it is only healthy to lose 1 to 2 pounds per week which would give you between a 5-10 pound lost by that time...you do what is best for you, but remember this is a journey and we have to set small achievable goals for ourselves to keep us in it for the long haul. Best of luck to you! ;-)0

Because that first week's weight loss usually is some water weight, and the shock to the body with so much change (diet and exercise), but the body likes to adapt. So you may see 5 lbs in the first week, but I wouldn't expect it in week 2.0 -
That makes sense. I guess I will keep doing what I am doing and see what happens. I am in this for the long haul. 100 pounds to lost total. So that is quite some time ahead of me.

Repercussions are basically a crash diet that even if you did pull it off, you're going to bed up gaining back the weight from a slowed metabolism and normal eating habits. As the one lady said above, yes it's possible, but DRASTIC changes would be needed.
These crazy goals are spawned by shows like "The biggest loser" where the contestants literally do NOTHING ELSE but diet and exercise. If this is really what you want, you'll need to hire a team of professionals to monitor you, quit your job, and commit only to your goal. Otherwise, lower the goal and look forward to the continued long term health benefits and great high of waking up in the morning feeling ever better in your new body.
Hope this helps and good luck with your endeavors!

possible yes....probable no!!! there is about 4 weeks until that date...if I were you I would shoot for no more than 2-3lbs/week tops!! that would still be 8-12lbs, and a lot easier and helathier for you0
