Just ordered some battle ropes. Anyone know any good workouts? Nothing too crazy, like head stands and levitating but not basic beginner. Thanks.

I watched a couple videos. Do you recommend going hard for short burst or what?

I use ropes as a component of my training because it'they're really heavy and tiring. For example:

5 rounds of 30 sec each
    Battle ropes
    Wall balls
    Pushups
    Box jumps
    Handstand pushups
    Squats

That sounds like a good routine. I tried them post workout and treated them as just cardio...I thought I was in pretty good shape but...man haha. I was barely getting 20 seconds each. I guess they should be more of a workout, themselves.

That's how I felt the first time I tried them!

I do them as a tabata in a circuit. The battle ropes definitely get my heart rate up.
