im 172.5 male how should i credit the half (.5) in my actual height? Because when i log it up in my fitness pal goals in a same metric unit I type it up 172.5 but MFP showed its only 172 so it does mean i'm only 5'7? But some height converters websites says that 172.5 has already reach 5'8 in Ft. And Inches unit, Any advice and helps how to fix this height unit problems thanks

Sorry, I had a brainfart. I wouldn't sweat it. does putting 172 and 173 in even make a difference to the calorie goal?0

I know what you mean tho some times those calorie restrictions can get real especially on a cut! We all want to at heart be at forever bulks LOL1 -
So you can have 1.25 L diet coke a day to make up for the unaccountable 0.5cm
If you make an effort to stand up taller to get to 173cms you might burn some more calories...3 -
In the grand scheme of things that half centimeter is not making a difference.2

Doesn't make a difference! I stand about 170.5 and just round it up to 1711

Don't major over minors.2

Half a cm in height has about 3 calorie impact on your TDEE. Do an extra yawn or jump once, and add it as 173 cm if you feel like you've been robbed of your half a cm2 -
I'm surprised you can measure your height with such accuracy, actually.2

Right?? I comes up at anywhere between 163 and 165 depending on who is measuring me, my weight, water retention and how tired I am. or how poofy my hair is.0 -
Weight affects TDEE , not height.0

OP.... Didn't you post recently about having success by eyeballing portions, not weighing, measuring etc? Not sure why 0.5cm is worrying you..0

There are numerous estimation formula's that incorporate height calculating the BMR, I have a feeling OP is using one that does that.0 -

From what was written it sounds like he is using MFP.0 -

Hmm MFP uses Mifflin-St. Jeor equations as far as I know.
Men: (10 * W) + (6.25 * H ) - (5 * A) + 5
Women: (10 * W) + (6.25 * H ) - (5 * A) - 161
Variables: W=weight in kilograms, H=height in centimeters, A=age in years1
