I get home on Thursdays around 9:45 and eat dinner then. Unless eating late causes sleep issues, there's nothing wrong with it.

It depends on how I feel. If I'm really hungry, I'll eat before bed. Otherwise, I bank the calories for a larger meal the next day.
  • On a few occasions I've got home after 11pm, a couple of times I've cooked, ate, then straight to bed, but I'd rather just go to bed, because tiredness, and I'm guessing poor digestion..

If I haven't eaten which is highly unlikely I would eat, chill then bed

I generally raid my snack cupboard and have a Nakd bar or some oatcakes or something.

Depends if I'm hungry or not but I pretty much never last past 7pm without being hungry, so...

if nothing else I have my evening bowl of cereal - but it would depend how far under my calories for the day I am

I would normally eat something if I got home late without having had dinner but it might just be a snack if it's really late. I usually have some stuff prepped that I can quickly make if it's before 10pm.

Depends on how hungry I am. I tend to value sleep over hunger though.

If I feel hungry, I will have something to eat. If I don't, then I don't bother. Through this journey, I am getting better at listening to my body and learning to distinguish between hunger and habit.
Also kind of depends on how 'late' it is.

I would just have a light snack, and save the calories for later in the week.

Depends on how hungry I am. I try to avoid eating directly before bed because of acid re-flux, but I also can't fall asleep on an empty stomach. So I'll usually settle for something light if I am hungry and then eat a copious breakfast the next morning.

I might nibble on something small (handful of nuts or a yogurt) if it's late and I'll be going to bed soon. But that depends on if I feel hungry or not. If I'm not hungry, I'll drink a tall glass of water and then go to bed and maybe eat a bigger breakfast the next day.

If I'm hungry I'll eat dinner... if not I'll just go to bed. So far in life I've never not been hungry though.

It depends on how I feel. If I am going to bed soon I won't eat much and will keep it light or I won't sleep.

depends if I'm hungry. I don't usually eat breakfast so on occasion I've gone to bed without eating so I usually have breakfast the next day instead.

Unless I am hungry, I just go to bed.

Depends on how hungry I am, or how tired I am.

If I'm hungry I eat, if I'm not hungry I don't eat. Simple as that.

There's no way I could go without having something in the evening...but I would probably know before hand that I wouldn't be getting home until late, so I'd most likely have packed something to eat for my evening meal at work or wherever I was that was keeping me late.

If I'm hungry and have calories left, then heck yes!

I generally go to bed between 11pm and midnight. I eat around 500 calorie dinner at 6 pm and a snack around 8-9 pm usually. I'd be hungry if I were short so much food so I'd probably eat something before going to bed. Maybe a sandwich or cereal.

I really envy people who can come home and go straight to bed. Also people who can sleep on an empty stomach. It doesn't matter what else I've done all day, when I get home, before I go to bed, I *must* spend a good hour winding down and that *must* include at least a small snack (and usually a glass or two of wine). Otherwise, I won't sleep. :disappointed:

Definitely. I can't sleep if I'm hungry. I always need some wind-down time after getting home anyway so I'll definitely eat something.

I regularly eat at 10 pm when I get home later than usual (but then I eat at 9 pm normally), but I don't go to bed immediately after. If I'm not going to be home until 11 or 12, I will try to get something beforehand or probably eat light, but I generally wouldn't skip since I'd generally be wanting dinner.

I also cannot go to bed the minute I get home anyway, so might as well have some kind of dinner!

I would usually eat something but it would be small and easy (unless I was starving). Usually a couple of slices of lunch meat rolled up with a slice of cheese or a bowl of Cheerios.
