Accomplished loss of 39 pounds in 2014. Gained 12 back after beginning new job over 2 years. Laid off in 2016, same day first grand daughter birn which has been with me since day of birth and I have adopted. The past year has been about caring for new birn and attending college. My health has declined, now need to lose all 39 pounds again, but wish to accomplish in 2 months, not 9. Can it be done??? We got to begin somewhere...this little one needs me healthy and around for more than 5 years. :-) :-) :-) aloiler

39lbs in 2 months does not sound like a realistic / healthy goal I'm afraid. Could you just endeavor to meet some realistic calorie goals for the next 2 months and see where that gets you?0

Putting almost 40lbs on took longer than 2 months. It'll take longer to take off too. Why the rush? It's not healthy to drop that much weight in that little of a time frame. Start logging your meals, eating better and walking/exercising and you'll see the weight start coming off, but it'll be slower than 20lbs per month, that's for sure. Good luck!0

Losing that much in two months time is not a realistic goal. The question you should ask yourself is do you want to get the weight off and keep it off by eating normally or do you want to do something drastic or extreme to get it all off real fast and then most likely gain it all back because the route you took to lose it isn't one that you can stick to long term.
Make sure you weigh/measure your foods and eat within your goal each day and you will get there. It's all about a lifestyle change when you try to lose weight and not a race to a finish line. Good luck to you!0 -

Let's call 2 months 61 days. 39 pounds x 3,500 = 136,500 total deficit.
136,500 / 61 = 2,238 calorie deficit every single day.
Here's the problem - at 55 YO 5'5" tall my total daily energy expenditure (maintenance) is smaller than this. So unless you are very tall, very active & plan on eating almost nothing.....no this can't be done.
Should you even attempt this? Nope. Large deficits make it harder for your body to support existing lean muscle mass. Losing copious amounts of lean muscle mass (doesn't look good) and is going to lower your metabolism. People with very low calories experience hair loss and a whole host of other medical issues.
Netting 1200 calories will help you (at least) get adequate nutrition. Netting 1200 means that you eat more than 1200 on exercise days.0 -
Nope. You did not gain that in 2 months and there's no way you're going to lose it in 2 months either.0

Bless you for taking on so much! Yes I agree with others, please don't put more pressure on yourself you will get there in a better way. Keep posting for encouragement.0
