Do you reward yourself for hitting mini goal weights?

I usually buy something that I've had my eye on, like a slightly pricey tea or kombucha, or hiking equipment for bigger hurdles. :)

For me, it's hard to start seeing a fit person in the mirror, even though I am now objectively fit. So having a physical thing to affirm my achievement helps keep me from becoming discouraged. It's not a reward so much as a trail marker!

I've thought about buying stuff, but can't because I'm broke from buying smaller sized clothes:):):) Give myself an "atta boy ya made it" and move on.

I try to reward myself in ways that don't involve food. Or if they do, Its an expensive exotic fruit like a dragon fruit.
Lately when I stick with my fitness goals I let myself try a new supplement I've been wanting, new workout clothes, and the biggest one I recently earned is a gym membership with 4 personal training sessions and classes.

Congratulations on your progress! Putting on the smaller clothes every day really is a great reward, isn't it? :)

I crow a little bit here on MFP and move on to the next goal.

Yes, it helps keep me motivated. So far I have only hit my first goal and bought myself new make up and skin care products ($130). My next goal is prob 4 months away.

    I only have 3 mid-level goals.
    SW 189
    GW1 170 (-19 lbs, 10% of SW)
    GW2 150 (-20 lbs, 20% of SW)
    GW3 145 (-5 lbs)
    UGW 140 (-5 lbs)

It really is and in the end that reward is what it is all about for me.

Oh my yes. For my first 10-lb loss I got myself a snazzy pair of replacement earbuds for my iPod. The next 10-lb loss (currently only 4 lbs away) will be a couple new shades of summer nail polish. I think my 30-lb down reward will be a couple new novels for some light beach reading.

You do what works best for you!

No. Why? Is there some reason why you don't want to achieve your goal? If not, then why must you bribe yourself to reach it?

Not everyone is real big on treating themselves to nice new things. And many of us, having been overweight for a while, haven't treated ourselves particularly well for quite some time. For these folks, weight loss provides a fun opportunity to treat themselves to something out of the ordinary.

Also: I know it's Monday, but try to lighten up? ;)

My reward is feeling better and fitting back into my old clothes. :)

And if so, what have you rewarded yourself with/planning to reward yourself with.
I'm looking for inspiration outside of my usual new clothes.

I make a mini goal weight every 5 lbs. I don't reward myself for each of those 5lbs but when I hit 20lbs (2 more to go), I'm going to an AYCE crab buffet. Can't wait!! But that one buffet won't kick me out of my new clothes and stop me from progressing. I say, reward big when you get to a big goal weight, 20/25/50. But not mini goal weights like 5 or 10.

Personally I do not reward myself for achieving a weight goal but rather for being disciplined throughout the week with hitting my exercise and nutrition goals, regardless of what my weight is. For me, I am great at setting a weight goal and hitting it everytime. However I am also great and gaining it all back within a year. After I reach that "Goal" I tend to slack and go back to what i did before. Perhaps that's just me not being disciplined enough but its been over a year and I have lost 30lbs and have really changed by body. Not once did I worry about my weight but rather hitting all my meals and workouts. Those were, and are, my new goals and it seems to work.

My rewards are things like being able to hook my bra one notch tighter, enjoying the feel of my clothing being looser, etc.........I'm trying to keep my weight loss focused on being healthier and feeling better as the reward so I don't fall back into prior behaviors when I reach my goal

Not always, but sometimes! I love a good bath bomb, so I often reward myself with one from LUSH.

I bribe myself and I'm proud of it. Sometimes cloths, or the Fitbit or just something weight related.
Last 10 lbs loss got me a new air fryer and copper cookware set.
I'm proud when I hit a 10 lb milestone and what I buy usually is something that keeps me on track or
pushes me to the next step.
When I hit my ultimate goal I may go for the big time and buy something I have my eye on now....but it's a
big money item. Wife says go for it ...I'm not 100% convinced yet. $$$$

For me hitting the goal is the reward.

Agreed! Results I see physically are the reward.
