ESPN laying off peeps? Sad. I don't think it's cool that no one loses their job, no matter what race they are.

Sage Steele better not be a white dude.

If so, I feel cheap and filthy and hate myself even more than usual.

Yes, Toronto is close enough to Connecticut that the signal comes over nice and clear.

Yeah, she was tweeting her goodbye's yesterday

I was watching this morning and wondering how many more viewers they lost after yesterday

I'd be curious if the firings impacted viewership at all...I think viewership is namely down due to cord cutting which hits ESPN pretty hard revenue wise with their massive carriage fees.

I know we moved to the most basic satellite plan possible because we were tired of paying for a bunch of programming we weren't watching...but you had to pay for it to have ESPN and that just wasn't worth it. We're thinking about dropping satellite altogether as we mostly watch Hulu and whatnot these days...and really we watch hardly any t.v. at all.

I'm right there with you--we've had Netflix and Amazon Prime with wifi for years. I really like ESPN's documentaries (30 for 30), but I only ever managed to catch them at the gym.
