Got out of the shower and looked in the mirror and...wow, hotness! My husband was correct - I do look amazing! I normally think I look good, but my latest fitness efforts (coming out of my winter hibernation) seem to be paying off big time. I love the combo of distance running, weight training and extra protein! It does wonderful things for my body type...
Are you eating at maintenance?? I'm still debating what my next move will be.... curently eating at maintenance now, getting my cardio/weight training in as well.... definitely sculpted (sculpting) a nice shape, just need this extra fat off of my arms! It's crazy that this is my
stubborn area whereas it's the thighs/hips for most women!
Eating at just a tiny bit below maintenance - averaging around 100-150 calories below. In the past 3 months I have dropped one pound (but that's not really a significant amount), and also (according to my recent health check-up) dropped 2.5% body fat. I guess I'm recomping or something?9 -

The new release includes huge numbers of burpees.
The first time our instructor took us through it she was the only one still moving by the end of the track. TBH I didn't do any "I don't do burpees" was my initial response and I went straight to the lower option of squatting.
I went away and thought that was a bit poor, really, so I decided to practice at home! This week, in class, I kept moving through the whole track and did A SERIOUS LOT of burpees. Didn't have time to look around but think there were not many others still on it at the end.
NSV for sure --- Rocking being one of the strongest in the class!
Awesome achievement!!
Right there with you on the 'I don't do burpees'!
did some during a tabata session the other week and was not dying as much as I thought I would be though. Although I do still look like a flaily whale (yay for full room mirrors!)
But I have gone off the newer combat releases because of the move towards more stuff like burpees and less 'fighting' (fortunately our instructor is of the same opinion so uses older releases or mix ups)

I'm sorry if this is a little too much information, but it's been weeks and I still can't get over it!
I was feeling pretty self conscious about my breasts, they seemed saggy and deflated and *blegh*. I started to think that maybe my bras were wearing out (also, the shoulder straps were pretty stretched out). But we now live in a different country and the American selection is limited. So, after some procrastinating, I thought I'd try German sizing and brands.
My boobs are amazing again! My band size stayed the same, but my cup size went down, and that made a humungo difference! I feel so much more confident and my husband is very happy
And, even better, German bras are a fraction of the cost of the American ones!!! 4€ vs $38, I don't even mind if they don't last long!!
What I can't get over is just how much of a difference these new bras made in how I feel! I wish I'd have gone shopping months ago!!48 -
What a pleasant surprise just now: over the summer, when I'd lost about 80 lbs, I purchased some coats and jackets that were on sale. The Small Petite fit; the XS Petite was uncomfortably snug at that point, and I couldn't even get my arms in the sleeves of the XXS Petite jacket. (I figured I wasted my money on that XXS Petite one. [Like, how can there even be XXS Petite?!])
Well, that jacket -- the XXS Petite -- is now on and zipped up!
It feels a little snug around the middle, but I also wonder if it's supposed to fit that way. I have never worn things that cling (ummmm, no thanks). Always hiding, I guess. But, maybe it fits OK? I think I'm still getting used to my body. If it's not right, then it sure will be completely fine in a couple weeks.22 -
C25K W1D3 - completed first thing this morning with my son
Also completed the same bike ride (route) as yesterday in similar weather conditions (ie, very cold, very blustery, head winds, cross winds but no hail today, thankfully) and knocked 10 minutes off the time
And it looks like I'll get to go out again later as the forecast is no longer for rain.
Happy days25 -
My latest and hopefully last attempt at shedding the weight started 1/1/17. Down 25/100 lbs. Two NSVs in this picture this morning. 1. The pants are getting loose. I had to tighten the suspenders! 2. I fully buttoned the shirt! I never could get the collar buttoned without choking myself.
A third NSV from last night (not pictured). I was wearing some shorts and I had to tighten my belt up another notch.66 -
I fit into size 22 pants today! Last year I was wearing 32s.45
-
I have a waist again. I'm a little top-heavy but mostly straight up and down. I have a long torso so I like to wear belts high up on my waist to cut the torso up a little. At my highest, it pretty much looked like I had wrapped a rope around a cylinder. Now, there is a little squish inward! I also have a little extra belt at the front from having to cinch it tighter to keep it around my waist.26
-
I wore "real" pants two days in a row to work now, along with shirts that fit, instead of my stretchy leggings and tunic tops.
If 10lbs down feels this good, I can't weight to meet my goal!38 -
I was able to fit into a sweater i bought one size too small24
-
Was looking at before and after pics today and those squats I've been doing are paying off BIG TIME31

I noticed today that the cravings are gone. I no longer want soda. I'm satisfied with one piece (1 actual serving size) of chocolate. I'm eating until I'm satisfied, not full, which also means I'm eating slower and enjoying the food. Crazy how things change!27

This morning eating breakfast with my husband and he said "Man, you're looking good." I've been in maintenance for awhile and haven't kept up with my workouts much over the winter, so I sort of snorted at him and said I was in better shape in the fall. He said "You look really healthy. You could pass for twenty-something. You're going to live to be a hundred." BTW, I'm 40.39

Bought and wore a size 32 pair of jeans. The last pair of 32s I wore may have been bell bottoms.47
-
I wore shorts today! I have had these shorts for 4 or more years but have never worn them because I hate the way my legs look. I eventually outgrew them but kept them. Tried them on this morning and decided to go for it. They're actually a little baggy in the back.21

The seasonal aisle at my Walgreen's has all Easter candy marked down to 25 cents. I walked the full length, and didn't scrape the entire aisle in my basket. In fact, I just picked up my prescription and left. Nothing seemed worth the calories.
Quote
Lol. I stopped there to get skinny pop today and couldn't figure out why so many people were walking out with big Easter baskets !9 -
I was in the type of mood to indulge myself this evening. Instead of bringing on junk food I did my nails and tried a facial mask.25
-
I hit 20,000 steps for the first time and dragged myself to the gym for the first time in a week and a half. I was pleasantly surprised that even after that week and a half break I didn't get as out of breath as I expected.24
-
I'm on a 20,000+ steps a day 3 days streak now. It's pms week and TOM is next week. My cravings are up, I'm
snacking more so I had to increase my physical activity. I am surprised I'm able to keep it going. My initial goal was just for 1 week but I'll see if I can extend it beyond that.20 -
I have another one that just made me do a happy dance even though it is slightly scale related. I just realized that I am now simply "overweight" and am no longer "obese" for the first time in about 3 years!42

First off let me congradulate everyone on their recent NSV. This morning while putting on my walking gear I noticed that my leggings are getting loose mostly in the hip area but over all... I just bought them in Feb.30
-
So NSV one, I started feeling sick today. Throats starting to hurt and heads a bit cloudy, but I decided to run today anyways in case I can't over the next few if I get worse. So I ran instead of using my sickness as an excuse! Me!
Also... drumroll please...
On said run, I RAN TWO MILES STRAIGHT WITHOUT STOPPING. I've literally never done that. Ever. It took me 25 minutes but I don't even care. It was week 6 day 3 of C25K and I was only supposed to run 22 minutes, but I knew from another app how close I was to two miles so I kept going.48 -
New personal bests:
Wide squat - 17lbs
Lunges - 15lbs
I have cerebral palsy and have focused on strength training since July. When I started, I could lunge 5lbs. I'm seeing definition in my outer thighs and my quads. Building muscle is awesome.64 -
after my weekly run (I don't really like running but register for a women's run once a year and go to trainings for 12 weeks beforehand) yesterday I decided I would walk up the 4 floors to our flat. the lift was broken for more than a week and even though it works again I want to keep on using the stairs at least once a day.25
-
I bought a pair of size 16 shorts!
and they fit
and they are what I would class as 'short shorts'
and I wore them to squash and wasn't massively self conscious
and I won at squash
and they don't ride up like my slightly longer shorts do.
Not gonna lie, there is still alot of thigh there, but so much less wobble to it. (and the bright white is more of an issue right now - need some sun!)
I also think that looking down at your legs isn't the best way to judge them! haha

I was reunited with my collar bones
Where did it get off to? Did it have a nice time? Was it on vacation? Or did it cheat on you and came crawling back begging for forgiveness?
(PS: I was reunited with mine a good 6 months ago... still can't stop poking them to see if they're still present and accounted for)13 -

Lol they've just popped up after spending several years being comatosed from fat suffocation. Im still poke them every hour to make sure they are staying for good15 -
1. It was lightly raining when I went to pick up the kids from school. I am usually there 15 minutes early, and walk around the school. I really, really wanted to stay in the car. Instead, I made myself get out and walk. I did 2 laps around the school, and then was pacing in front of my daughters classroom. A lady came up to me and told me she sees me walking all the time, and I was an inspiration!
2. I also walk/run during my lunch break. I always invite the other girls in the office to join me. They always laugh and eat at their desk. Yesterday, one of the girls joined me for the last 10 minutes of my jog. (I do it in our warehouse, so I just go in circles.)
I am inspiring other people to do something healthy for themselves. Never ever ever thought that would happen.
