30 Day Shred - Heart Rate Monitor Test

So I have been doing the 30DS now for a while. Today was day 23 and I am on level 3. I just got my heart rate monitor yesterday. I tested it out today and for the 27 minutes of Level 3 (including warm-up and cool-down), the heart rate monitor was dead on to what MFP says for me doing 27 minutes of circut training general - 228 calories burned.

Oh and I am 5'4 and weight about 139 pounds.

I am glad to know that I have been logging pretty accurately even though I didn't have my heart rate monitor until today.

    That is awesome! I WISH I burned that many calories doing the shred! :laugh:

    thanks for the info! I just bought a hrm, hasnt been delivered yet but i will be posting some of my findings when I use it doing the shred, i have always been curious to know if mfp is accurate

    It was weird at first....you could really feel the chest strap but once you got going, you barely noticed it is there. :)

    What about the watch part? Did it interfere with push-ups or anything?

    I wear a HRM during the shred and so far the only thing the chest strap really interferes with is the superman on level 3 because you're laying on your stomach. It should not interfere with push ups or any other exercise where you're not actually lying on your stomach.
