Best Economically Priced Sports Bra

The ones I currently own are pretty basic from Wal-Mart. They are comfy but really flatten me out which feels awkward.

Can anyone recommend one that doesn't flatten but still works as it should.

Check out Goodwill for lots of options, depending on the day. Otherwise "best sports bra" and "economically priced" don't really go together in my experience.

I'm pretty big and I use Champion and I think they are available at WM and Target if you are in the US.

I'm thinking a sports bra which gives support will naturally flatten one just a bit, especially if its not underwire to help hold you up.

I really like Champion sports bra's. They are very durable! I've had mine for a few years now.

I was having the same issue - they either flatten or give me a uniboob. BUT I just bought a couple Fila Sport Running bras on clearance at Kohl's only $12 each. They are AWESOME! I'm a 36D - 38C. I love thrift stores and Goodwill in particular, but I'd be leery of buying sports bras there. They lose elasticity and you may not realize it until you actually wear it for exercise. My suggestion is to hit the clearance racks and try everything on.

I love the target brand sports bras. Also Ross/marshalls/TJ Maxx have awesome options!! They have all sorts of sports wear and equipment for SUPER cheap.

I prefer the Victoria Secret Sport bras. They are very pricey but at a 36DD I need something that works well and will hold up. I usually check the online clearance section once or twice a week when I am in need and have gotten a couple around $29 (normally closer to $60).
The Champion brand is also quite good but I have a hard time finding DD's at my local store and the D didn't work.

I also like the old navy higher impact ones, mine have lasted me several years, but they do flatten out. I take comfort over looks when working out. Make sure you look for the higher impact ones regardless of brand, took me a while to figure that one out

Is it physically uncomfortable or do you just not like the aesthetic of a flattened chest? If it's physically uncomfortable you may be wearing the wrong size.

I own a wide variety of brands in sports bras but I have a small rib cage (32" band in normal bras) but am a DD cup. All of my sports bras flatten the appearance of my chest, they have to be tight to fit properly and provide the support needed.

I really stand by my Nike ones; I've always grabbed them at outlets or on sale. I find they hold up the best over time --both for wash and wear-- and take longer to overstretch so I replace them less often than the other brands I use (UA, old navy, target, Adidas, Champion).

depends what boobage size you have! I wear a brand called Anita that fit my 32FF comfortable and they have gone through multiple triathlons - but I wouldn't call them economically priced - although they do last forever

I have one from Walmart that pushes up in the front. It has a deep v in the front and then lots of straps on the back for support. It has a plastic fastener in the front. It works fine for me (36C), and gives me awesome cleavage. I would try one on before buying -- comments say sizing is off, but mine was true to size.

Personally, I prefer the smoosher bras because there's nothing that distracts me more in Zumba than looking in the mirror and watching my boobs fly all over the place. LOL.

I use Panache, it's an underwire, and not cheap but well worth the price in my opinion...looks like a bra, but a bit thicker with extra panels and keeps everything totally still and doesn't move even when jumping and such...also has a J clip so you can wear it regular or racerback if you prefer...I'm a 30F, so finding my size in anything cheap is pretty impossible anyway.

Oh! and if you're going to go the cheapo route with bras, I always get the ones with underwire and that have traditional sizing (36C rather than small, medium or large). They fit better and offer better support.

I'm a 34DD and I really like the high impact Champion ones from Target. I've had a lot of luck finding them when they're on clearance so they only cost about $16 each. They do squish the girls down but they have great support. I wore one to can-can practice last night and even with all of the bouncing I was doing my boobs stayed in one place :)

I'll warn you that I'm of the school of, "Cheap exercise shoes and cheap bras aren't worth it."

    * Check your local good quality lingerie store. Not fashion quality like Victoria's Secret. They are not necessarily bad but typically the staff aren't well trained and V.S. Try a place where they measure you when asked and have staff that know their stuff.I find most of these places now carry sports bras as well as other types.
    * Try a local running store. (Again, not generally Foot Locker or the like.)
    * Marshall's/TJ Maxx...they have closeout bras so you can't be sure they have any much less if they are quality or in your size or color, but if you're in luck you can get great prices on clothing.
    * I always recommend Title Nine www.titlenine.com, although the bras are not cheap. They are great quality, lots of options, and last longer.

yes to your first point - I always cringe when I hear people recommend VS for bras - if you have something in their normal size range sure - but the minute you go below a 32 or above a 38 its iffy...i'll never forget them telling me that a 36C worked fine for me...when I wear a 32FF

Definitely dont want cleavage so not weirdness. LOL. I feel like I look awkward. And I might have the wrong size. Its not by cup size. I am a 40D but those are big so maybe closer to a 38.

Fitness bras really should be a sticky topic. The affordable glamorise sport bra I have been wearing "updated" the design, and now I'm shopping for a different brand, so I'm glad this is here!

I was just going to say Glamorise. These have been the best sports bras I have ever gotten for being large chested and are great for high impact exercise. I got them on Amazon for under $30 and have lasted longer than others I have bought.

I have several Champion sports bras that I wear for yoga or under my swimsuit for aquasize class. I bought most of them at thrift stores. (Someone really should make a swimsuit with decent breast support, but I've looked and can't find one.)

I can't wear an underwire, so I've had to try on a LOT of sports bras and have not found what I need at a second hand store so I finally had to spend some money. My two favorites for medium/high impact:

*A Brooks that I bought at a running store (approx $45). It is great for Zumba or other medium impact activities and I love that is has hooks in the back instead of over the head one piece.

*VS with molded cups. Best for running that I have found. Although the VS employees weren't that much help, I managed to find the right fit AND it's cute (although hubby is the only one who sees it). No uniboob issues. I think that one was about $50, but I had a $10 off coupon. I have had it for 2 years and it still looks brand new.

I prefer Anita although they aren't super cheap they hold everything where they need to be, the cheap ones over the head do not hold me in well and I bounce around too much, I like the anita because it snaps like a regular bra would with hook and eye closure. Just much better support for what I need to be doing.

C9 at target look decent with sports bras I get their pants and workout tops and it's comfy with good quality. Usually they have a sale or clearance rack even with no sale the prices aren't bad

Yes so worth it. Plus ever get trapped in an over the head bra. Severe panic attack ensues. lol
