Keto Meal Plan

I have been researching the Ketosis diet. I want to first say that I am looking to make a complete life style change. Has anyone had success with this style of eating? I am looking for the good the bad and the ugly!

Thanks in advance.
Ang.

Hie thee to the Low-Carber Daily Forum. Tons of resources for keto, tons of people who are actively maintaining it (I am not one of them).

Hi ang, I have had a lot of success with low carb i've lost alot of weight very fast.... but its the keeping it off thats the problem. if you mess up one day it sets you back a couple its very strict and takes a lot of discipline but if you are looking to loose weight fast it will work. Good luck! keep a close eye on the scale. when I did the stillmans diet I did lose the 14 pounds the first week and 5-7 after that but no kidding even a piece of gum would make me not lose that day.

I've had success and I'm not totally strict all the time. I mess up :) . I just get right back to it and the weight starts dropping again. My meal plan is generally as such M-F: bullet proof coffee and a little bacon for breakfast, for lunch either a salad with boiled egg or leftover meat and oil/vinegar or leftover meat and cooked veggies-whichever needs eaten. Dinner I eat whatever meat is being fixed as well as the low carb veggies. If the family wants something like pizza I eat a big salad similar to my lunch meal. Snacks I usually have on hand include jerky, boiled eggs, pepperoni, and pistachios. Weekends are similar, just not quite as structured. That's also when I'm likely to go a little off plan due to visiting/birthdays/weddings and such. I still keep it pretty low, though. Saturday the whole family ate low carb for dinner and enjoyed it. Steaks and zucchini/melted cheese patties. Definitely join us at the group link for other ideas. Keto does NOT have to be boring or restrictive. Seriously, do a Pinterest search. I saw a recipe this morning for cilantro and lime riced cauliflower I've added to my list of recipes to try.

If you are looking for meal ideas, check this out. I don't like meal plans I don't create myself, but I still think this is a really cool tool for those who do, and sometimes I look at it to see some ideas: https://www.eatthismuch.com/

It does calorie levels and eating style, so you can put in keto.

I normally eat around 100-120 g carbs, but decided (starting yesterday) to try out dropping them to keto levels, so I don't have any feedback yet, but I will agree that the group mentioned has tons of helpful information.
