    We often get "crappy" covered seats so we can get out of the weather if it gets bad. But it's also because if you are too close to the main stage, it's a disadvantage getting to the side stages quicker to get a good spot. So even if the main stage headliners are a really good band, we compromise to see some of the side stage bands.



    I wish they did more multiple day things. I went to the US Festival and it was just killer. Of course these days that would probably be $400 a day or something.

    Check out Rock on the Range in Columbus, OH. I went last year and it was incredible. 3 days for less than $150. Those were general admission tickets. Field pass tickets are more, but I think around $200 for 3 days. Not bad when considering you get about 60 bands worth of music!!

    That does look like a good deal. It seems that more and more of the bigger festivals are showing up, and they all bring in the bands touring together. South of here they do another one called Carolina Rebellion and they seem to get in a lot of good bands too.

    That is sad news. I took my 15 yr old son to see them in Dec and they had the singer from All that Remains filled in.

    I read about that in the article. I'm glad I got to see them back on September with him on stage.

    I'm everywhere when it comes to metal. From Danzig to Devin Townsend. Been in a Infant annihilator, thy art is murder, Slayer, and Dimmu Borgir mood as of recent. And of course Pantera (a workout staple for me) .

    Aw I love all of these - I really need to adjust my playlist to reflect more metal.

    Alestorm, Disturbed, Nightwish, System of a Down, Rammstein, Amon Amarth, Avenged Sevenfold, Kamelot, Slipknot, Iron Maiden are some on there at the moment.

    Iced Earth, Stone Sour, Soil, Blind Guardian are all on my laptop waiting to be put in!
