I don't have time to list them all, but plenty of rock and metal on my playlist, as well as concerts I've been to. Other than a few off the wall things here and there, just about all I've ever been to in person has been rock or metal of some sort.
I've seen some now no longer around, and enjoy some of the music festivals to check out the newer bands. And I have to say, I've found bands that I thought were too "poppy/mainstream" on their studio stuff that put on a really good show that made me like them a lot more.
We have a local event called the Lunatic Luau that is usually a good mix.
lunaticluau.com/line-up/
We often get "crappy" covered seats so we can get out of the weather if it gets bad. But it's also because if you are too close to the main stage, it's a disadvantage getting to the side stages quicker to get a good spot. So even if the main stage headliners are a really good band, we compromise to see some of the side stage bands.
I wish they did more multiple day things. I went to the US Festival and it was just killer. Of course these days that would probably be $400 a day or something.0 -

GWAR doesn't need to be on any lists, it's already assumed that any bands you list are beneath them.0

That's what some people say about Insane Clown Posse. I mean, I don't personally know those people but I've heard some people do say that.
I actually like that ICP fans get the hatchet tattoos and paint their faces...makes it easier to spot the stupid people in a crowd.0 -

Power metal is good too,
I love symphonic metal as well.0 -
First saw GWAR in 1988/9. Played with Old Skull. Back then they were quite still novel and it was one helluva show. Following week was GG Allin. Now that was the real freak show.0

GG Allin. You had guts to go to his show. Hopefully you got your immunizations beforehand. I watched his posthumous documentary. Still have the nightmares. Somewhere in purgatory, him and Oderus are having a laugh about the good ole days.
