Hello! I'm a 23 year old female (5 ft 5 120 lbs) qnd have been lifting weights for a few years. Occasionally- like, maybe once a month- I had been having pain right above my right hip bone. It feels like it is probably in the muscle someplace.

But I woke up in the middle of the night last night and the pain was excruciating. I had to take an aleve and it hurt to breath deeply. Yesterday I did squats, dead lifts, calf raises, and abs on the roman chair with fairly heavy weight. My boyfriend says it could be a hernia. My mom (a nurse) doubts it, as there is no bulge and I'm female.

It doesn't hurt right now, but what could it be? What should I do? Thank you!
