Need a break?

I usually do some heavy cardio every day and throw in some strength training every other day. As of yet I havent taken an off day.. But today morning I woke up feeling like I spent the night in a locker. Is taking a break once every few weeks ok?

You should be taking a full rest day once a week to let your body recover. If you don't, you run the risk of buring out. Always listen to your body. If it's telling you to rest, then rest.0

You should probably have one rest day where you do nothing overly physical. Maybe a walk or something like that would be OK. You should also have another "light" day where you basically work at a slower pace or lighter weight.0

Like others said, you should have atleast 1 off day a week for recovery.
Also if you do weight training, you should do a deload week every 6 weeks or so as well.

I agree on the deload, I have been hitting it hard on the weights for about 6-8 weeks then I take a week or two where I reduce volume and/or weight. I may even skip a lift day or two during that time. When I come back on my regular routine I feel recharged and so far all three times I have increased lifts the first week after leveling off before the deload.0
