I was getting tired of the same routine. Even the classes I love.
I wanted to do something different. Something that challenged me.
Truth is only I know how to really push myself.
So.....
I created a Pyramid Workout Timer

15 second work 10 second rest
30 second work 10 second rest
45 second work 10 second rest
1 minute work 30 second rest
1 minute work 10 second rest
45 second work 10 second rest
30 second work 10 second rest
15 second work 10 second rest

REPEAT.....8 more times

I rotate the moves etc.
LOVE IT
Great results and I feel amazing

I walk as part of my commute, at lunch, and often after work ... and aside from the commuting portion of my walk, I get to choose where I go, so I mix it up and walk different places as my whim leads me. Some walks are more challenging than others depending on how much climbing I include or how fast I walk.

I climb stairs which can get a bit boring, but I do as much as I want to do with that and it does give me a little break from the computer in the middle of the day.

I cycle on weekends and sometimes in the evening as well. Again, I get to choose where I want to cycle so that gives me quite a bit of variety. As with walking, some rides are more challenging than others depending on intensity, length and terrain. About once a month or six weeks or so, we travel to cycle in another part of the state or country or world. :)

And then, we'll also go to the gym now and then. As of last Monday, we started going again, on Mondays, so that I could attend a spinning class and do some rowing and so that my husband can use the treadmill. We'll keep that up for a month and then decide what we want to do next.

All that plus we throw in hiking or canoeing or swimming or other things now and then. :)
