I am so depressed

I gained 6 pounds in 7 days. I'm almost back where I started I can't believe it. Instead of maintaining a deficit I ate at maintenance this past week and I'm ready to give up. Please help!

    If you've been eating at maintenance, then everything you gained is water weight. Start hitting your deficit again and it'll come off.

    I hope so. When I've been working so hard so to everything right and the number just jumps up like that it's unbelievably discouraging. Thank you!

    Are you weighing yourself every day? Don't!!! Only do it once a week on the same day and same time (morning). Also, I don't know if you are a male or female but cycle messes with weight big time. Don't despair!! Ignore the scale and get exercising and you'll automatically start eating better.
