Deadlifts, squats, bridges (hip thrusts), lunges and cable pull-throughs.

I heard twerking does the trick. @lstrat115 has videos demonstrating.1

I have a big butt, I did lose it a little when I got really thin, but the point was to get lean and build it back up in muscle. Anyway I do squats, deadlifts, leg curls, cable pull throughs, heavy *kitten* barbell hip thrusts twice per week always between 225-300lbs, some kind of lateral movement, lunges.
I will not do a Bulgarian split squat though they are good. Just too murderous for me. Don't hate myself that much.1 -

That Sir Mix-a-Lot song came on the radio Sunday while I was driving home from a scenic bike ride. It really doesn't stand the test of time.1

This is the best answer. And yes, it is rooted in hard science.
Or just rooting on something hard.2 -

This. I like to do weighted hip thrusts with a barbell - they're killer.1 -

Good thing you caught it before responding.. I honestly prefer grinding over rooting.2 -

Just incorrigible, really.1 -

Just start air squatting and do deadlifts. Then add weight.. Add all the Squats and make sure your form is correct. Also, weighted lunges..
I like to have about 30-40 kg on the bar and then I do walking lunges for 25 meters.. We call it the walk of death..
I'm actually adding mass right now so mu bum is a bit bigger then it usually is.
hey @Gimsteinn1 - how YOU doin?1 -
You'd probably get more advice in the Exercise forums, anyhow.. look into Strong Curves or anything Bret Contreras. His programs have you working the glutes 3-4x per week. Hip thrusts, glute bridges, deadlifts, squats, abductions, etc. I do a lot of that stuff plus kickbacks, lunges, hip extensions, cable pull throughs, etc. Keep your protein adequate (0.8-1g per lb lean body mass or goal weight) and keep the deficit reasonable to retain as much muscle as possible.0

My azz is just naturally curvaceous. And I'm not using the accepted word for chunky here. It's not unnaturally, weirdly big and it's not fat (sorry to use that word). Rather, I have always had a good azz - shapely, high, distinct. Even as a child my family jokingly called me jutt butt. High 'n tight, baby!
Therefore, pretty much any exercise I do, seriously, that's at waist-level or lower only makes it better, tighter, etc.
By contrast, no matter WHAT I do, some other parts just never get really great. They're okay. But not jaw-dropping by any possible stretch.
I work out all the parts anyway. I want to be fit.
My point isn't to brag. Okay, well, yeah it is (I'm old, give me SOMETHING here, throw me a bone) but to say that there are some parts that we can work on and work out but which will never be stellar. However, you CAN make the most of them. My calves are terrible. They're thick. I'm like Betty Rubble in the calves. I can make them better than they are and they will look acceptable but no dude will ever stop dead in the street, drop his pipe out of his lips and say, "Dear God, those gams" in admiration. If nobody ever drops a pipe over your butt don't despair. Work it out along with everything else and for self-esteem, concentrate on the pipe-drop-worthy parts.0 -
