Can I lose weight and gain muscle at the same time???

I'm doing intermittent fasting and stronglifts 5x5 at the same time ! Any advice please ??

    It is possible but you may gain weight initially due to the retention of water due strength training. It is also dependent on how much fat you have to lose. Focus on how you look and how clothes fit versus what the scale says. Hope that helps.

    according a lot of IF weight training people on utube with photos to back it up. 3 key points;

    1. u must be eating at a 20 to 25% caloric deficit to lose fat
    2. .8g to 1g of protein intake per pound of BW to preserve muscle mass
    3. u must be lifting heavier n heavier

    so im 220lb i should be taking in 220g of protein a day ??

    I was 236lb and have lost 17lb with another 33lb to go im 40 years old ! so you think i should keep with the 5x5 and th IF ??

    Yes - but the bigger your calorie deficit the less likely it is.
    The newer to training you are, the more likely it is to happen.
    so you think i should keep with the 5x5 and the IF ??
    Why would you change if you like 5x5 (that's a good choice for a beginner) and IF if they work for you?
