I am 5'6, currently 138 pounds, was 137 2 days ago, I am trying to lose 20 pounds but it's not going well. I am eating less than 1100 calories a day since I am not exercising a whole lot. What am I doing wrong?

I have been between 137 to 138 for the past month and I am stuck here, I have been very patient.0

Do you weigh everything you eat on scales?2 -
No I don't have a scale right now, but I have been overestimating my food intake just in case it's more.0

If you're not losing weight you're eating more than you think.7 -
I really don't think I am eating more than I think, I add food according to the calories information on the package or according to mfp calories estimate for veg and others and I overestimate all. It's just really odd why I am not losing weight.-1

Because you are not accurate with your intake, get a food scale and weigh everything. When you have so little to lose, your calorie counting needs to be spot on.6 -

Ok..... but science dictates that you're not losing weight because you're not in a deficit.
Given that you only have vanity pounds left you should only be running a small deficit - to lose 0.5lbs per week, so you have to be accurate and the loss will be slow. You might also want to add in some strength training to your routine if you don't already do some.7 -
I think I will purchase a scale though, if it's true that I am way off on my estimated food intake. I am already doing some strength training, but maybe I will do a bit more. Should I do more cardio? Would exercise videos be good to follow?1

Do what ever you enjoy and will keep at it. Sorry, I don't know any videos. Exercise is for health and to look good nekkie3

Now I upped my calories to 1400 and took 12000 steps a day and again I gained weight. Frustrated.0
