Anyone else dealing with Injury or disability?

Hi guys.

I know that I struggle with being young, keeping fit and having a total hip replacement and chronic pain.

Would love to have some like minded friends on my fitness pal so add me if you feel like you would to! (:

    Thats amazing.

Im a few years from thirty with bilateral carpal tunnel and have had both surgeries. Both were unsuccessful and strength training seems near impossible sometimes.

A total hip replacement is no joke. As of today I will complain even less after reading this.

    Keep it up!

Going to kind of jump to the other end of the spectrum. I'm 50 and after a lifetime of abusing my body have bad knees and a bad back. No idea what its like to go through something that extreme but I will say this, find what you CAN do and enjoy and do it. I injured my knees again about two months ago and it frustrated the hell out of me that I couldn't do something as simple as go for a walk at lunch. After a bit it dawned on my that I was doing myself zero good by being frustrated about not being able to do what I wanted to do. I looked for options and finally started on strength training. The knees are almost back up to par...well, sub par but you get the idea!...and I'm walking laps at lunch again. Nowhere near the speed and distance I had been doing but caution is required. At first, I was impeding my own recovery by trying to do too much too fast. And YES @PdotEss, that really helps to put other things in better perspective.

Upper c-spine injury here, some days my upper back feels like it's completely locked up, but then I just walk. Sent you a friend request.

    Thanks for sharing guys.
I find it hard trying to stop myself doing something like a bike ride or a little jog that I know will be super painful next day.
Also I'm having issues at the moment where I have unpredictable pain that stops me from walking and the smallest things will set it off. I'm a graduate nurse and can't afford sick days so I feel like I'm living in a bit of a bubble trying to avoid having sick days because I have no sick leave left and won't be able to afford my rent!

    So frustrating!
    We can do it though!

    Hi!
I just turned 40 in march and am recovering from my second lumbar fusion. Last couple of weeks I couldn't get out to walk due to weather and bad muscle spasms. It's a new week and I was able to walk today for 3 miles. Decided to try this app again as I need motivation and support.

    Very frustrating, but determined.
