Weight lifting while constantly battling from wound recovery at chest area

The title might sound weird cuz most people would avoid injuries as much as possible. In my case, I have some medical conditions that my doctors have ordered different forms of biopsies at my breasts for more than 4 times over one year. The smaller wounds would be from needle biopsies that I usually recovered quicker (start kick-boxing type cardio within 7-10 days and weight lifting within two weeks). The surgical biopsies, which I already had several for the past 9-10 years and one last year, usually create bigger wounds and I'd be afraid to move too much within 3-4 weeks.
That is to say, my weight lifting plan has been interrupted at least twice since I started last year due to these necessary medical procedures, and I'm wondering if anyone here could provide me some suggestions for "what to do" or "what not to do" during my recovery. I wasn't really happy about this cuz my fitness plan would fall behind and I felt like I had to start all over again (ICF 5x5, to be specific), even though I didn't really become "weaker" when I restarted compared to pre-biopsy stage.
There are several things I am already doing to prevent unwanted fat-gain and to minimize muscle loss: diet (mainly macro, sugar, and cholesterol), regular workout (right now maybe too much cardio and not really enough weights), and keep my mindset as positive & healthy as possible. I am at about the end of my weight-loss plan but just in the beginning of my fat-loss/ muscle-gain part. I'm also trying to move my mind away from the scale numbers and stick to a good weight-lifting plan as long as I need to. To be honest, I worry more about losing my muscle mass (really not enough to lose...) and gain too much fat than anything else at the moment (another biopsy scheduled in two weeks...).
I felt like I should've been asking before/after my previous biopsies, but those came really unexpectedly and I just realized I might have to live with this kind of "interruption" for the rest of my life (or, for some periods of my life).
Any kind of input is appreciated!! Thanks for reading this~~

So, without seeing exactly where the wounds are located in relation to your movement, I would recommend asking your doctor to set you up with PT a few times. A good PT should be able to work with you to set up a good exercise regimen that would aid your goals and not further injure your wounds.2

Thanks @maddymama !!
Those are mostly on my breasts (a.k.a. skin and underlying soft tissue). In most ladies these could be less bothersome (I assume) due to the amount of fat. Unfortunately I'm almost flat and don't have the "extensions" away from my pecs and limbs as much as fuller individuals...
But yes that's a good way to find out what else I can do! Thanks again0
