I'm not hungry

Should I eat if I'm not hungry? Today it's 8:23pm and I have only had coffee and a bacon cheeseburger with 934 cal to go but I'm not even hungry..I can literally eat once a day most days and warmer weather diminishes my appetite. Should I eat just to eat? I'm at 600+ cal as I type this. There are definitely days where I force myself to eat just to make the 1000 minimum on here to be able to save my meal diary.

One day that low is fine. But if this is a regular thing, you should definitely eat more.3

Wow, I would be quite hungry. If its a once off it probably won't hurt, but if you are eating like this all the time it won't be sustainable for weight loss and health. Watch out tomorrow you may be extra hungry.
If you do this quite regularly there is also a chance of binge eating/going without cycle which would also be counter-productive.
Is there any reason you didn't eat anything else all day?1 -
In hot weather I just have no desire to eat until the sun goes down and it cools off..not sure why. Always been that way and I'm 35. Always get fat in winter gaining at least 20lbs and slimmer in summer smh..I can eat fruits and drink water til 9pm easy when its hot. I've had issues with totally binging out in winter while sitting on the couch..eating just to eat. Now i decided to just eat when I'm hungry instead and that's not often honestly. Used to eat just because I wanted to or something tasted good. Could I not be hungry because my body doesn't need any extra cal because I'm not exercising?1

even without exercise your body needs so many calories to stay alive(BMR) find out what yours is and try to eat a little above that. you arent doing yourself any favors eating 1000 or less.make smoothies with some greek yogurt or oats and get some calories in that way1 -

Can you change the window in which you eat till after the sun goes down and it cools off? The body does not care if you eat 8:00 a.m. or 8:00 p.m.?
The short answer is yes you need to eat, perhaps choose some calorie dense foods higher in calories to help you reach your target without eating volumes of food.1 -
If it makes you seriously underweight, then it's a real problem. If you aren't eating a good variety of foods, it can also be a problem. Basically, it's causing a nutritional problem, then it's a problem. Otherwise, carry on.1

Yes, you need to eat. At 8:30 tonight, I was still around 500 calories under my 1350 goal, and over on my protein. I wasn't hungry at all, but I forced myself to eat some bread and butter, which has me down to 250 left. I don't know if I'll make my goal, but you need to be as close to it as you can. You have to give your body proper nutrition to function.1

doesnt matter if you arent underweight yet, that is too little to eat and you cant get enough of the proper nutrients you need to fuel your body eating so little either.you will be underweight if you keep eating so little not to mention somewhere down the road you can start having health issues0 -
CharlieBeansMomTracey it's not a literally everyday thing but I'd say at least 3 days a wk maybe 4. Thing that worries me is that my blood sugar will be outta wack..was 200lbs Jan last yr and prediabetic..now off meds and was 30lbs down eating right and working out 2hrs a day with good appetite.but I know it can get too low then I tend to wolf down some quick carbs n usually feel nauseous especially if it's sugary snacks or potatoes and bread aka McDonald's smh I say WAS down 30lbs because i have gained almost 10 back1

I'm not prediabetic but I am hypoglycemic and the principle is the same. I eat every 3 hours to keep my sugars in check.
I suggest you do the same. It doesn't have to be heavy. Maybe some veggies with string cheese and some cold chicken strips. Yummy with hummus or another dip.2 -

if you are/were prediabetic you may want to look into a low carb/keto diet yo keep it in "remission" so to speak. eating quick carbs is probably causing your insulin to rise too quickly making you nauseous. you need to have some fat and protein with your carbs, that should help not to feel nauseous.blood sugar can be out of whack eating too little as well. you could also try intermittent fasting(like eat up to 8pm and dont eat again until like noon or later the next day(thats called 16:8).
They also have 5:2 where 2 days out of the week you eat 500 calories and the rest of the week you eat your calorie goal(or even maintenance). but if working out causes a suppressed appetite maybe cut down to an hr a day? losing weight is about the calorie deficit and not about how much you work out or what you eat(its about how much you eat). you could also add thinks like peanut butter, healthy oils, nuts, seeds, etc They may not be big quantities but have higher calories. That way it will help you to get calories in without having to eat a lot of food.1 -
CharlieBeansMomTracey I was saying that I USED to workout two hrs a day and had a good appetite0

ah I thought you were still working out 2 hrs a day,it was the way it was worded that I misunderstood. but yeah just eat higher calorie foods to make up for the eating so little. you can add peanut butter to smoothies too if you wanted to make smoothies, since its hot it would be cool, refreshing and filling.heck even a milkshake would bring your calories up.0 -
