Nothing. My goal shifts periodically, where sometimes I want to gain and sometimes I want to lose. But now that I'm older, I think I might stick with 180-185, which is where I look and feel best (I think my avatar is about 185 last year, when I had more fat and a little less muscle).
Also, my diet is extremely consistent, so I only use MFP now when I decide to change things up a bit and want to verify the calorie count.

Started my weightloss journey after my 30th in January, I have gone from around 22st (308lbs) to 18st 9lbs (264lbs) still a long way to go, I lost 3st (42lbs) between January and Mid March and since then I have been losing 1-2lbs per week, my ideal weight would be around 9-10st so (126-140lbs) so need to lose 100lbs+1

Anyway, I lost 95 lbs in 2014, am a healthy weight, but wouldn't mind losing 5-10 more lbs and then regaining some muscle. I've recently decided to focus on fat loss again.
You've done great. To answer your question, I'm here to learn and share knowledge with others. It need not cost anything to anyone here. I am a professional, and while some are opposed to paying teachers and doctors, etc. we all choose a professional path in life, and hopefully, it satisfies not only needing to have a purpose, but can also provide sustenance. There is no need for anyone here to pay me.0 -

I certainly respect that you didn't just ghost when you were called out. It's also perfectly legit that you would want to familiarize yourself with the tools your clients use and the communities they're members of. I'm nearly convinced you're on the level.
To get better responses, I might suggest that you simply stop mentioning your book and business so often. That way, nobody will suspect you of anything but helpfulness and curiosity. If you are knowledgeable, that will come across in the actual content of your posts.15 -

Thanks, I really appreciate that. It never gets old feeling good about this victory. Today was unusual, checking all these messages coming in, like a full mailbox. I can't do that all the time but I'll check back again later or tomorrow.

I'm sure there's more to that story there, but it seems part of many office settings will include food or treats brought in by co-workers. Calling them "food addicts" would be pretty loaded language, especially when used by a professional in the field.
When I travel for work, I'll sometimes bring back something for the office, such as Ghirardelli or See's chocolates from the west coast. Other colleagues visiting from Japan bring treats too. Would that make us "addicts"?6 -
Goal was to lose 36. 196 to 160. Did that in 5 months. Been maintaining at about 158 based on a 7 day moving ave ever since. Currently at a daily low in the 156-157 range but don't expect that to last.1

I hoping to lose between 55-60lbs. I'm finishing up my 2nd month of using MFP and I'm down 17lbs. Although I think I've hit a plateau already so I'm changing some things up.1

I agree, the language of calling people "food addicts" for having snacks around seems loaded and probably misleading. Coming from the perspective of an actual food addict, which OP has stated he is in other threads, maybe he sees it that way, but isn't it projecting to assign that disorder to others just because they have food around? As an example, I had a roommate once (not a good one) who tried to tell me that I was an alcoholic because I had built up a collection a various bottles after a series a social gatherings that took place over a few months. I just laughed. I've never had a problem with alcohol and they couldn't wrap their mind around the idea that the very fact that I had so much booze around (so - unconsumed for an extended period of time/just sitting there) should point out that in fact, I DON'T have an issue with drinking. I see it as the same with food. Having lots of snacks around doesn't make you a food addict; EATING all of the snacks that are constantly around without the ability to control yourself MIGHT make you a food addict, but that's not for me or any other internet denizen to diagnose.5 -

It's only important because I'm curious and like to know things I don't know yet. I know some of my clients have used myfitnesspal to track calories rather than a written log. When I was Googling for "weight loss support groups" to refer them to, this site appeared with a few others. I'm checking them out.
How is this NOT doing research to benefit your client base?
