I'm finishing up a 28 day program right now! But then I will also be starting keto diet. I sent a friend request if you wanted to keep contact thru your journey! I know I'm going to need lots of recipes ideas :)

Hey ladies, I'm thinking of trying keto again. I had done before and lost a little bit of weight, however the thought of eating so much fat makes me feel less motivated to do it!
If you fancy an extra fitness buddy let me know and we can help each other through the journey :).

Problem with keto is.....you will smell when u sweat and hard to maintain for most people over long periods of time. But does work ok for yoyo dieters

Join the Low Carber Daily MFP group. It's where most keto'ers hang out. They are a helpful bunch.

This really is not true. Keto'ers do not smell and it is very maintainable. I'm over 2 years in.

I do agree that if keto (or LCHF) is not something you are willing to consider for the long term, it may not be for you. I think it is often best to start as you mean to go on.

I've been doing keto for three weeks. And it's going great! I'm down almost 6 pounds.

@tsortsor ...the bodies of some people who follow keto are more prone to giving off the distinct scent of acetone as a byproduct of following a LCHF way of eating; however, not all LCHF'ers / Ketophiles produce this scent. If you are interested, here's a link to an article about the science behind why/how the body produces, breaks down and eliminates acetoacetone, beta-hydroxybutyrate and acetone:

I guess I'm one of the lucky ones because I've never had issues with bad breath, B.O. or anything else scent related in connection to this way of eating.

Keep your fiber intake up . . . and something like sugar free orange Metamucil can be your best friend on keto. I really liked keto when I did it for about a year. I ran a TKD, since I was doing a lot of lifting and jujitsu. Needed the extra carbs around workouts instead of a periodic carb up.
