Water intake? Long islands don't count?

Okay so I am going to be honest.
I have failed at looking after myself for the last 8 months. Failed on an epic scale.
I don't even drink water anymore until now.
After reading an article I'm determined to reach or smash my daily intake....but when researching how much I should be drinking (water not alcohol) I am confused.
Can anyone give me any advice please? I am aiming for about 2.5 ltrs a day. (2 big bottles of water)
Thanks in advance

Drink enough that you have 5-6 clear urinations a day.0

I only drink water until my pee is pretty clear. No set amount.0

That's how much I usually drink (2 liters or a little over 64 oz) of water at work. I drink a little more at home but I don't really measure that. That is about how much I drink to not feel thirsty. Just my general guideline.0

The urine test is pretty legit since different folks need different amounts depending on their diet and activity levels. The paler your urine, the more hydrated you are.0

I don't like drinking plain water, so I'll either have:
- flavoured sparkling water
- tea
- flavoured water (make your own in a pitcher! Citrus is great, so is cucumber mint, melon, basil, whatever you want)
- Mio/Crystal Light
Just some options if you're a gal like me who doesn't like plain water. Good luck!0 -
Clear urine can equal over hydration (dilution of essential electrolytes). Aim for pale yellow (straw-colored).0

Here's a chart so you kind of know how pale "pale yellow" is:
P.S. Long islands are amazing - I'm 5'1'' so I can get nearly drunk off of just one.3 -
I drink half my body weight a day (about 115oz). On days I don't drink that much, I don't lose and sometimes gain!0

Thank you. Realistically over a 30 day period what benefits do people think I will get? I really want to be able to measure it based on the two large bottles of water per day. Thanks again0

You might notice your skin looks a bit plumper and clearer. Headaches can decrease, if you're prone to them. Better breath. More bathroom trips.0 -
