What's going on?

I've been watching what I eat and drink for almost 2 months. But for past 15 days I've logged all my exercise and food intake. I found I was eating less than 1000. My weight hadnt budged. This community suggested I either wasn't logging truthfully or that I needed to increase my calories. Well, I got a food scale and logged truthfully, even through a trip to a casino( buffet, free alcohol). And purposely began trying 1200-1400. I gained 2 pounds. So I went back to 1000 calories and added arm and leg weights to my cardio. Gained another pound. I'm confused.

All of this, and especially since you're a female, water weight gain can be a significant (and temporary) part of your cycle.

Could you be gaining muscle? That may account for some weight gain

    Not at 1000 calories

OP, as others said, it's likely water weight from eating out (high sodium food) and a new workout routine, along with other possibilities

Nope. Not at a calorie deficit and only 2 weeks of weights. Definitely not muscle.

eating at a buffet outside of your home is classified as eating out.

The real question is "What" are you eating. My trainer noticed the same thing with me that you are having and changed up what I was eating and also at what times of day I was eating. Made a world of difference. Try cutting out refined sugar and bread. Trainer also has taught me to listen to my body for when hungry- belly hunger. When stomach says it's hungry, not when I think I'm hungry. I'm eating four meals a day and one snack "if" I feel hungry late in the day. The meals are evenly spaced out too- about 4 hours. She also has me drinking 120 ounces of water a day. Hope this helps!!

what you eat and when has no effects on weight loss, its how much you eat. sorry but your trainer is wrong. you cutting out bread and refined sugar probably put you into as deficit especially if you didnt/dont eat something in place of those calories you cut.if you mean stomach growling, that doesnt mean its hunger.your stomach "growls" for many reasons.

Then what do you consider eating at a casino buffet as? Dinner at home? You can kill your entire week deficit at a buffet, and gain water weight from all the extra sodium/carbs/food.

You people are sarcastic. FYI yes I was at a casino and had salmon and arugula. Day two I attempted to have a burger and had two bites and couldn't eat it but gave myself a 300 calorie count for the two bites. Just saying I faithfully logged even though I wasn't home.

I'd rather do this alone then have to read borderline rude comments bc I worded something poorly
