Tuesday I go into surgery to repair my hip...I will be unable to exercise for 3 weeks due to being non-weight bearing. Then limited for another 5 weeks. Any suggestions on foods to help hunger but not get too ma my calories since in can't exercise?

Eat at sedentary maintenance, or a little above. The body needs calories to recover.

    Cheers, h.

I second that. And make sure you get adequate protein for repair.

You'll recover quicker and be able to move around again quicker.

Having just come out of surgery 11 days ago ... yes, eat at maintenance. It is actually really difficult not to! I tried to limit myself to 1300 calories a day but was feeling so nauseated and the only thing that eased the nausea was eating a little bit more.

Also don't be surprised if you put on weight.

That's what I'm scared of is putting on weight....I feel like what I've been working toward will be wasted. Thanks all for your comments!!!
