It's not a diet but a change in how you think. Has anyone ever read it and did it help?

Yep. It's a great book that uses CBT to help change the relationship between mood and food and mood towards how we eat. I highly recommend it.

Adding another thumbs up! I went through all the steps years ago and I still refer to the book on occasion and use many of the tools provided.

I think it's widely accepted that CBT is beneficial, and I've found the book to be insightful and helpful in a number of ways, but personally, I've struggled following the program. It's not the kind of thing that you casually read and absorb in a general way- there are specific steps to be followed on a daily basis. Changing the way your brain works requires substantial daily commitment & resolve to follow through- you know, kind of like logging & adhering to your calorie allowance- and my commitment to both things tends to waver, limiting my success. No fault of the book, though and I haven't given up on it yet. :)
