Sometimes I want something salty, I usually go for pringles or pretzels.

Looking for other ideas!
What do you eat to meet that craving?

I'm not sure what diet you're following but some good ones are:

Stovetop popcorn popped with coconut oil (use lower heat) and then sprinkled with salt.

Bouillon in hot water's a great one, or if you can make some, bone broth. Bone broth is supposed to be very healthy for you.

Kale chips (baked in an oven with olive oil and sea salt).

    Sliced cucumbers sprinkled with salt.

Roasted broccoli with garlic powder and salt.

Parsnip chips. I found them at Trader Joes and Whole Paycheck.

    Dark chocolate w/sea salt.

Blue diamond salt and vinegar almonds.

    Loving these ideas, thank you!

I love the garlic stuffed olives from Target's food line. 4 of them are around 60 calories and salty enough to suck the moisture out of your head (in a good way, Lol!)

Like so many others, pickles. I also like kohlrabi or radishes with a bit of salt on them.

Pickles, popcorn, soy crisps, anchovies, a big salty salad with my favorite meat/cheese combo.

I dunno. I just eat salt all the time.

My personal addiction, especially during pms sweet potato sea salt seasoned chips. My favorite brand is Terra veggie chips- Sweet Potato crinkles. I can eat an entire large bag in one sitting and have no regrets! My other go to when I can find it in the store is peanut butter covered pretzels! It's perfect for my salt and sweet cravings.
If I want just strictly salty, which I try to avoid, I go for the unpitted spanish geen olives.

I love kale chips! So do my husband and kids so they are a regular side dish during the summer months (when there's lots of kale in our weekly veggie box). I would never spend money on the pre-made kind though; those are ridiculously overpriced; we make our own.

That said, when my body craves salt, it's usually trying to tell me it wants protein. (I don't know why. It took me a long time to figure this out. It may not be the same for everyone.) So, unless I'm craving a specific salty food, I'll often look to:
    • 1 oz. cheese (sometimes with crackers or an apple)
    • 2 turkey pepperoni sticks
    • scrambled eggs (I might sprinkle a little grated cheese on top; if I have lots of calories to spare, I might put the eggs on a slice of buttered toast)
    • tuna
    • deli turkey (not the healthiest choice, but *so* tasty)

If I just need salt, I just eat salt. I need more water and more salt when the weather is hot.

Oh, and I don't snack. I think snacking is a terrible habit and contributing factor to the obesity "epidemic" and why people "struggle" with losing weight. Snacking can work for some regardless of that, though. And my opinion counts only for me.

Popcorn. I love the 100 calorie individual bags of microwave popcorn. I don't really crave salt. I actually try to keep my sodium lower because that's just a need for me. But if I'm craving something not sweet or fatty or whatever then yeah, popcorn.

Salt is always what I want when I want a snack. My go to snacks are Mediterranean flavoured terra chips, white cheddar popcorn, sour cream and onion Pringles chips, or beef jerky.

An appropriate number of servings of one of the above is my snack on on Thursday night during a show I watch. I have no guilt, it is included in my log for the day and I carry on. Depending on how much exercise I did on Thursday, I may even be able to manage a whole bag or can of my snack that night. Or I might have zero interest in snacks that day and happily wait until next week. I enjoy my Thursdays.

I like popcorn, but my current favorite are roasted seaweed packets (I get mine from Trader Joe's but I have seen them at Kroger too). Salty and savory- I really like them. I eat them while watching TV when I want a salty snack and something that is kind of "chip" like. One package is 60 calories. Yum!

A lick of salt (seriously, a few crystals & it takes the craving away).

If I feel my body needs salt because I'm feeling faint or shaky, I just eat a bit of salt or have some salt water.

If I want a low calorie munchie, capers or pickles. Capers always satisfy a potato chip craving for me.

If I don't care about calories, potato chips or buttered and salted popcorn.
