Hi, I found a link to help with my Marcos and calorie in take to loose weight. And I found the link on this site. https://www.iifym.com. For me to loose weight I'd have to eat 1200 cals 33gs carbs 119g protein and 66g fat. So I started on Saturday and I'm barely eating 900-1000 cals as I can't seem to stomach so much meat as everything else has carbs in it.
What do you suggest?
My days have consisted of eggs in the morning with a protein shake and spinach mixed. Turkey burgers with spinach/salad for lunch and dinner chicken with veg. And my snack would be half a grenade bar.
Thanks for you help

Personally I'd decrease protein and fat and increase carbs...

1200 seems ridiculously low though, unless you're very short, extremely inactive, or trying to lose weight unnecessarily fast.

Your tracking must be off, no healthy human could feel full off of an actual 900-1000 cals a day, that is an insanely little amount of food.

    Well I'm 35 years old 164lbs I'm 5'7. I want to get down to 140-145lbs.
When I input my info in MFP the cals come to 1200 a day. Even on other apps I've used before MFP.
The IIFYM came to those figures I put above.
I think I was full due to having busy days and eating protein as this does cause not to have cravings however I felt really tired yesterday and I wouldn't of been able to train after work.
I think I'll up my carbs to 50g- 80g and not do this IIFYM as I don't think it's healthy for me.

theres something wrong with your calculations somewhere - you don't need so few cals or carbs.

I'm shorter, lighter, slightly active during the day and lift weights 4 times a week(intensely). I lose on more than 1200 cals.

You're probably trying to lose weight too quickly - id go with 1lb a week max.

IIFYM is not unhealthy. It's simply sticking to a certain set of macros. That said, you can just find your fat and protein goals(how much you need for good health and to maintain body functions) the use the rest of your cals how you like. It's pretty much the same thing...

I would suggest setting calories properly, taking into consideration healthy weight loss rate, ensure my logging was correct, and then eat whatever food I wanted. I would definitely aim for as much variety as possible. I would also eat less protein; 70 grams has been and is plenty and easy for me all through weight loss and maintenance and I'm 5'3".

You probably set it to sedentary and lose 2 lbs per week, don't do this as your deficit is too aggressive - that's why you felt so tired yesterday, especially with only 33g of carbs.

You can follow IIFYM and set them (macros) to whatever they need to be for YOU. It's not unhealthy, having them set they way they are, but it's not working for you. I'd up the carbs, lower the fat for sure. And you can lower the protein if you are having trouble eating that much.
