More water in summer?

Water has been a big part of my weight loss so far (100oz a day). But with summer upon us, which means lots of sweating, should I be drinking more? For instance, I have not gone over my 800 calories per day this week (Dr mandated diet) but have gained a pound. I am thinking it's water since I spent a lot of time out in the heat this weekend.

    You should ask your doctor.

My doctor said it didn't matter either way so I wanted to check with others who have tried losing weight during the summer to see if they retained more in the summer.

If your doctor has you on 800 calls a day, then I'd only listen to them for ANYTHING related to your weight loss. No random person here is in a position to help you.

    Listen to your doctor.

Too much water can be unhealthy too. I go by thirst, I drink coffee in the morning, water or diet soda during the day and an adult beverage in the evening. I also get water from the fruit and vegetables I eat.

Your doctor said it didn't matter, so go with that. Drinking water does not burn fat but a calorie deficit does.
