Male 55. Day 30 today. Stepped on the scale for the first time today and have not lost any weight. I'm always under my 1950 calories per day. Zero alcohol and I'm walking or hiking on average 30 miles per week. I'm diligent tracking all my food and drinking lots of water. Sometimes I go over my macros on sugar and sodium but everything else is on track. I've put a lot of effort into this

Weight loss is like that, you'll even get days where you go up in weight.

Don't give up. I know it's hard when the numbers don't change but they will. Maybe you need to tweak a few things. How are you managing on the calorie intake you have atm?

You can't judge weight loss on 1 scale measurement. Hot down the data. Are you taking measurements? Or progress pics?

Make sure to weigh solid foods and semi solid foods with a food scale.

Well, I think a goose egg for month #1 calls for some sort of adjustment. How tight are your calculations? Weighing and measuring is a must.

But everyone ends up with unknowns, eating at restaurants or dinner parties etc. Maybe try 1850 and see if that gets you some returns.

And good going for staying off the scale and giving your program a good test. It's just feedback. Adjust and test again.

Just one reading makes it difficult to assess. Perhaps you ate too much sodium the night before? That could put you up 3-4 pounds just from water weight. So you'd really have lost weight but it wouldn't show on the scale.

    Hard to tell.

I agree with weighing your food and perhaps taking a peek at the scale weekly. How are your clothes fitting?
