Hello MFP peeps! Looks like we are moving to Omaha Nebraska area. I would like to hear from anyone who knows of a 'great outdoors' area for trail biking, running, nature walking even camping or canoeing areas. Anyone have suggestions?
Thanks in advance!!

Tranquility Park is a fave of mine. Chalco Hills trail is nice. Mahoney State Park, Two Rivers and Branched Oak are my favorite parks in the area. I am actually on the east side of the river in Iowa.. but Omaha is only 15 minutes away. On this side of the river, Wabash Trace is amazing and runs for 63 miles at this point. They are currently adding to it so I can hop on it even closer to my house and I can't wait. There are tons of great parks and trails in the Omaha/Council Bluffs/Lincoln area, honestly. Just depends on if you are settling on the west or east side of Omaha and how far you want to venture. Good luck!

All I know is the the Cowboy Trail is in Nebraska. It's supposed to be a great rails-to-trails route.
