You've inspired me. I've been battling rain for 4 days now. It was only dry to walk 2 days. Tonight I will walk regardless, unless it's lightning as that is a deal breaker.

I don't do lightning either, way too scary (almost got hit as a child; I was stood next to a manhole cover that got struck).
I also walked in the rain on Monday - it was torrential and the wind was horrendous. My umbrella had to go straight into the bin when I got home as it was wrecked after three miles of abuse at the hands of the elements
I don't know if anyone else is the same, but I never regret going out in bad weather to exercise. However, I always regret NOT going out in bad weather to exercise.
Looks like rain again now but my son and I need to do Day 3, Week 7 of C25K. Haven't missed a day yet and don't intend to start now. Then I may go out on the bike as well if it's not too dark12 -
Found a pair of pants in the dreaded "bottom drawer" and for craps and giggles decided to try them on (usually an S show of a time) and THEY FIT!!
Also I have to toss out/donate/whatever my size 18's as they are falling (literally) off my @ss.27 -

Cycling Rule #9: If you are out riding in bad weather, it means you are a bad*kitten*. Period.
Here in Florida, if I didn't go out in the rain I'd practically have to quit riding in the summer.
(Edit: I ought to add that that's from the Velominati Rules, which is a work of satire that pokes fun at roadie culture. Most riders understand that, but a small number take them seriously - likely the same sort of people who believe Onion articles are actual news.)10 -

Hey, I love to be a rule breaker. I must truly be a bad *kitten* 'cause I cycle through everything and anything - rain, hail, wind, cold, night, plus combinations of these. There isn't much that stops me peddling (I don't do snow or lightning though)
I'm off to look up the Onion articles now as I've never heard of them.
But before I go, my latest NSV:
Week 7 of C25K complete. In the rain. And today's 25-minute plod was way, way easier than the rest of the program so far. I thought it would be harder but nope, it was easier. My son even ran the whole distance - he's been known to speed walk besides me as I plod so slowly.
Really looking forward to starting Week 8 on Saturday ME. Looking forward to running. ME!14 -

The Onion is a humor website that looks like a news page. Occasionally, clueless people will pass along stories from them in the belief that it is an actual news article. Even real news organizations have been caught out a couple of times.
BTW, A couple other Rules that I like are #5: HTFU (Harden The *kitten* Up); and #10: It never gets easier, you just go faster.6 -
Tried on my swimsuit from last year in April. It was baggier for sure, but I thought it would still work fine for swimming by the time the pool opened. Well, went to put it on the other day before a trip to the pool to find that it was WAY too big, hanging off of me. I tried on another one that used to be tight and unflattering. It was also hanging off of me. I had to go to the pool in shorts, a sports bra, and tank top. Need to go buy a new swimsuit!30

I'm back in the gym after 9 months due to injuries and schedule. I had a great workout and feel awesome.28

I survived a TRX class on Monday and I'm still kinda sore today.
And I have officially switched to a small wristband for my Fitbit. This one was as much mental as physical. I have never been "small" so didn't really think that could be my size! It is now.20 -
Two months ago I ran a mile in 10:30, and today I finished in under 9:00! My 5K time has gone down a little, too, but this was most obvious.23

OK smaller sizes are pretty regular NSVs here. I am not putting down any of them, but your post here is truly awesome. bathing suits are all stretchy and full of my friend spandex and forgive your size a lot - up and down.

I noticed a big change in energy levels throughout the day ever since I started eating healthier and doing IF. They are very steady and stable all throughout the day and that makes me feel really good.17

This morning I finally reached a weight with a healthy BMI and felt confident enough to tuck my shirt in, which I've never done before!29

This morning at the gym my trainer upped my weights on a few exercises. He said that I'm getting strong and have graduated to his "real" weights, as he calls them, which are just fancier and bigger dumbbells. And a woman that works out with me (who is my fitness role model) was following me on some exercises and at one point was like "damn girl, you are STRONG" when she started using the same weight as me. ALSO, this morning I was doing a flat chess press with dumbbells and was wondering why I was so uncomfortable (aside from the increased weight) - it was because my shoulder blades were digging into the bench! My extra padding is going away! When I started working with my trainer we did a fancy body comp test and found that I had basically no muscle mass, so to come this far in about 3 months feels pretty fantastic!34

I gave blood yesterday. Iron levels were good enough - always a challenge, even at post menopause.21

One of the teachers at the gym, whom I see twice a week in her Body Balance classes, must have just suddenly noticed my progress. Maybe cos we were in the changing rooms, not in the classroom - I dunno - anyway she really exclaimed "Wooo, look at you!"
