hi! I had rmr testing last week and I'm confused as to what to do with this number. It was 2500. I also exercise 5x a week. I currently am eating 2000cals a day. Should I be eating more?!?

Are you sure that's not TDEE? RMR is usually lower.0

If that's your TDEE and you are eating 2000, that's a 500 calorie deficit and is a pretty good place to start if you are trying to lose weight at a nice goldilocks pace. 1 lb per week or so. You may notice some weeks you don't lose much and some you do.0

I am sure. I'm breastfeeding and they said that usually makes your RMR higher than usual. It seems high to me though as well.

Breast feeding can increase RMR up to 500ish calories. That means your TDEE is probably closer to 3k right now. So eating 2000 calories would put you close to a 1k calorie deficit. So you can eat a bit more if you would like, especially as it will support the development of milk supply1
