Calorie needs

Hello I have been told that I am under eating for my activity level ! And that it will wreck my metabolism . What should I set activity level to for calorie range. .
With no exercise just life and kids steps are around. 15000
With exercise maybe 18000 to 21000
Thoughts !

I ran today 5 miles. ! So steps say 22000 1850 was to maintain with light activity ! You add more for running ? Seems like a lot of calories. ! What if i want to lose. 5. Lbs. ?0

If you have a step counter linked to MFP then it will add the extra cals from your day automatically.
Or, for running use bodyweight in lbs x 0.63 x distance in miles
And if 1850 is to maintain you need to take 250 cals off that figure (you only half 5lbs to lose so should only be aiming to lose half a pound a week)1 -
Ok so that puts me at 2250 with exercise. Sounds high.0

No it's not. We've just been conditioned to think females need 1200 calories.1

But I worry about going from not eating to that to eating.0
