what do you think about tacos? i think they are amazing but have not had them in months. i love to put refried beans on them with lots of lettuce and tomatoes. got a fave style or topping?

i loves me some tacos. I make mine with the fantastic foods fake meat. i heat the shells in toaster oven, use the meat, shredded cheese and lettuce with salsa. Simple and yummy.0

Had tacos this past Tuesday (coincidence it was on Tuesday) Just easy at home using stand-n'stuff shells, taco meat, shredded lettuce, tomatoes, shredded cheese and salsa. Re-fried beans on the side.
We also make fish tacos and chicken tacos. We love tacos in my house, but strangely I hate Taco Bell. sigh0 -

As far as the shell, it just doesn't apeal to me. Now give me cool ranch Doritos and I can eat the whole bag and then some.
I'm pretty much forced twice a year to partake, the hubs bday and Father's day.

Usually in a freezer in the back of the most run-down looking gas stations. Basically look for places you think you might get stabbed, and go in to get a choco taco.6 -
I'm making tacos for dinner tonight, but I can't have any shells or tortillas. The irony of being the person that does all of the cooking in the house & not getting to enjoy the food you make, the way it should be, is just horrible. 0

Why can't you have shells or tortillas?
I'm on the keto diet. I limit my total carbs to 25 or less per day. There are some low carb tortillas out there but they taste like *kitten*. Any decent tasting tortilla would shoot my whole carb limit for the day with just two. I don't eat any bread either. I also try to space the small amount of carbs that I do eat out across the whole day. When I get close to my final goals, I will be able to switch to just a low carb lifestyle & I will enjoy those things sparingly then. Right now, I'm on a mission, so I don't sacrifice anything to my cravings.0
