In my mind, I am only 10% there... but I am happy with my progress so far...

Ensure High Protein (within 2 minutes of waking)
Half grapefruit, Dannon Light & Fit Greek Yogurt Vanilla, 1 tablespoon PB2
12 peel and eat shrimp, can green beans
Half grapefruit, 8 strawberries, 2 tablespoons PB2
8 oz Salmon (cooked in foil on George Foreman), can green beans
Atkins Chocolate Royale shake (right before sleep)

Walk on treadmill at 3.0 and 4.0 mph pace until I hit 500 calories
The above was my general meal plan, but I have started including beef sirloin at lunch every once in a while. I also have started to eat blackberries in place of strawberries at times.
I haven't given up Diet Pepsi yet.
I need to drop the canned green beans for fresh.
I want to start dumbbell weight training in July.

Why do you drink ensure within 2 minutes of waking? Great job!

I eat first thing since it has been 8 hours since my last meal.
I read you are supposed to eat within 30 minutes of waking.
I do it first thing as a routine, chugging it down, so that I don't forget to eat something for breakfast.

Congratulations on your exercise and eating plan. I'm curious though why eating within 30 minutes of waking is beneficial, or is it just so you have energy for your morning? Hope you continued success.

I have read that eating first thing boosts your metabolism by 20 to 30%. Regardless of the truth or myth in that presumption, I believe in several meals a day. My goal meal times are 7, 9:30, 12, 3, 6 or 7, 9 or 10
