Hi all

My name is Danny,I'm 30 years old and from England, and have been overweight since I was 20!10 years of bad habits and ignorance when it comes to what I'm eating ballooned me to 17 stone 6 pounds!
That was in January 2017,when I decided to do something about it.Not knowing how important carbs and a balanced diet was I started by doing the Dukan Diet,low/no carb, high protein and boring as hell!Too much restriction,I did however lose over a stone on it....and kept most of it off!
I've used the MyFitnessPal app before, but before I knew about macros, good and bad foods, sodium intake,HIIT,weight training..all the good stuff!
I started tracking my calories 30 odd days ago and am so proud to say I've lost a huge 2 stone in weight all in all!Although this has been done quickly,I'm eating healthily, packing my meals with the right balance of macros and am also intermittent fasting which is working wonders for me!
I hit the gym every lunchtime(we have a gym on site at work which is a godsend!)and perform HIIT 3 times a week on the stationary bike,30 second intervals for 30 minutes,it's brutal but I feel electric afterwards!
I do a weights workout 3-4 times a week, focusing on a different muscle group each time.
I do however need to lose another 2 stone in weight which will put me somewhere in the region of 15% body fat, from there my plan is to cut back on the cardio sessions and incorporate more weights to build lean muscle mass and get down to between 10% and 12% body fat!
Thanks to IIFYM, the MyFitnessPal App and my determination I've never felt so good as I do right now,I've never been this motivated to continue with my weight loss, and know that this is only the start of my journey to a low body fat and a complete change in my life

Thank you MyFitnessPal

    Awesome!

One of the main things us folks who've lost a bunch of weight say we'd do differently if we had to do again was to weightlift from the start. The one thing I want to suggest, since you are lifting already is to make sure those workouts are effective. A structured, progressive overload program will do this for you. Try Stronglifts or Starting Strength if you haven't already. This will make sure you keep all that muscle (don't forget protein) and save you a year of bulk/cut.

    Good luck :)
